This follows the breakdown of her first marriage to a Nigerian.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio on Friday 27th March 2026, she indicated her preference for Ghanaian men, although she has not yet had the chance to date one since arriving in the country.

The singer explained that she got married to her ex-husband while he was still in jail and supported him throughout the time he was doing his sentence in Japan.

“It was a really difficult marriage and during the time we were dating he got missing. I was looking for him and texting him but he wasn’t answering. His friends started texting me but I didn’t know where he was,” she said. 

She added that she later found out that he was in jail but he deceived her that he was innocent of the crime hence she threw all her efforts behind him and supported him . 

Coco Blasian further noted that she was naive and got married to him while he was in jail out of love without any consent from her family. 

“I tried to help him and I loved him so I married him in jail. I didn’t tell my parents about that.

When he came out i thought he was going to appreciate me for what I’ve done. I was paying for his rent, I was cleaning his house, I was always sending messages to the jail, but he got out of jail and told me that I didn’t mean anything to him and that other ladies could have helped him,” Coco said. 

In the meantime, Coco Blasian is set to roll out a breast cancer awareness campaign in Ghana in October 2026. As part of the initiative, she has recorded a song with award-winning instrumentalist and composer Owura. This is expected to be released ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

She gained international attention after winning the Miss Europe Continental U.K Beauty Pageant in 2025, a platform she has since used to support social causes alongside her music career.

Currently in Ghana, Coco Blasian is visiting her father while reconnecting with her roots and experiencing the country’s culture, food and people.

Coco Blasian is a multicultural artiste born in Fukuoka, Japan, to a Japanese mother and a Ghanaian father.  

She did not grow up in one country alone. Her early life spans Japan, the United States and Ghana, which exposed her to different cultures from a young age and shaped both her identity and sound.  

Musically, she blends Afrobeats, R&B, hip-hop and soul, drawing from both her African and Asian roots. Her style has been described as a fusion that reflects her “Blasian” identity, with themes often centred on love and personal experiences.

Kwaku accused his wife of selling her wedding ring, packing her belongings, and walking out of their home without explanation. He appeared on the show, hosted by Ohemaa Benewa, alongside panel members Lady Gold, Evangelist De Graph Adai, and Gifty Donkor (Big Mama), seeking answers, justice, and perhaps some closure.

According to Kwaku, the saga began when he fell ill. Financially strained and vulnerable, he had little support during that period.

“I was sick and had nothing,” he recounted. “When I finally returned home from the hospital, my wife told me she wanted a new ring. She said she would sell the old one and buy another.”

But, as Kwaku revealed to the Obra panel, the new ring never materialised.

“She sold the ring, but I never saw a new one. That was the beginning of everything,” he said, shaking his head.

The situation took a strange turn when his wife also fell ill and was hospitalised. After her discharge, she returned home, only to pack her belongings and leave silently.

“When she came back, I asked why she had left. Instead of giving me an explanation, she insulted me and refused to discuss anything,” Kwaku told Ohemaa Benewa, his voice trembling.

The shocking revelation left the studio buzzing. Lady Gold immediately questioned the sudden disappearance. “You can’t just walk away from a marriage like it’s a weekend trip! Selling your wedding ring is symbolic — it’s a sign the heart is already gone,” she stated.

Evangelist De Graph Adai took a moral perspective: “Marriage is a covenant. Illness, stress, or disagreements should not make someone abandon their responsibilities. Accountability is key,” he said.

Meanwhile, Big Mama Gifty Donkor focused on the emotional toll. “This man is left confused, heartbroken, and publicly humiliated. And the audience can feel the pain. Where is the compassion in this?” she asked, visibly shaken.

Phone lines lit up immediately. One male caller sympathised with the wife:

“Maybe she had her reasons. Perhaps she was tired of caring for him while he was ill.”

But a female listener fired back: “Selling the wedding ring and vanishing? That is disrespect. How do you teach your children commitment if you run away from marriage?”

Kwaku insisted he has done nothing to deserve such treatment. Yet, he admitted that he still hopes for a civil resolution.

“I have not done anything to deserve this. But if she truly wants a divorce, we should at least sit down and talk about it. Marriage is not something you abandon silently,” he told the panel.

As the discussion drew to a close, Ohemaa Benewa addressed the public and the couple directly. “This story is heartbreaking. Illness, money, rings, and packed bags — it’s not just a marriage issue; it’s a human one. Communication and respect must guide any resolution.”

She added a caution to viewers: “Let this be a lesson: never let silence, pride, or misunderstanding destroy a home. And for those who walk away, leave explanations behind, not just empty rooms and sold rings.”

The case remains unresolved, with the wife’s whereabouts unclear. For now, Kwaku Ofori is left waiting — not just for answers, but for closure, dignity, and perhaps the return of a ring that now symbolises more than just gold.

Speaking on Luv FM’s morning show, the husband recounted the shock of hearing that his wife had breast cancer at a time when awareness of the disease was very limited. Yet, he said, his faith and confidence in his wife’s strength kept him grounded.

“At the time my wife broke the news to me, breast cancer awareness wasn’t as known as now,” he recalled. “It was surprising, but I accepted it in good faith. Prayers and the trust I had in my wife’s strength kept me going. Even if it had been very severe, I would have stood by her.”

He explained that he deliberately chose not to discuss the diagnosis with others, avoiding the negative advice that could come from public opinion. Instead, he focused on supporting his wife through prayer and encouragement.

“Men should take breast cancer education to heart, especially for the sake of their wives,” he advised. “It’s even expensive battling breast cancer, so that alone should encourage husbands to stand by their wives. Don’t abandon her.”

Vivian Gettey, now the President of the Peace and Love Breast Cancer Survivors Association, shared her side of the story, describing how the disease changed her life and tested her confidence.

She recalled that she had never screened her breast before until she accompanied her sister, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer, to the hospital. “I decided to check mine too and realized I had a lump. It was at an early stage, but surgery was performed to remove it, and that was it. For 21 years now, I have been surviving,” she said.

But the journey was far from easy. Chemotherapy, she said, was one of the most painful and uncomfortable phases of her life. “My hair felt so heavy yet it easily fell off, I could peel it off as if I was opening a zip,” she said. “I became so shy of my appearance that I always covered my head.”

Her husband, however, became her greatest source of confidence. “He told me my head was beautiful and encouraged me to regain my confidence,” she said with a smile.

Today, Vivian stands as a proud survivor and advocate, while her husband’s unwavering love remains a powerful reminder that breast cancer is not a battle for one person alone, it is a journey best fought together.

The plea of the suspect was not taken, and he is expected to reappear before the court, presided over by Mr. Emmanuel Wiafe Adu, on September 15, 2025.

Police Chief Inspector David Kwabi told the court that Cobbina and his late wife, Grace Asantewaa, lived at Fankyenebra near Santasi in the Kumasi Metropolis.

On August 24, 2025, the suspect reportedly informed the Suntreso Police that his wife had been found dead in a pool of blood, with a kitchen knife lying beside her.

According to the prosecution, Cobbina claimed he had rushed his wife to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

However, investigators said his statements were inconsistent, raising suspicion of foul play. He was subsequently detained and later charged in connection with his wife’s death.

He has since been arraigned before the court while further investigations continue.

Nwachukwu was found guilty of culpable homicide resulting in the death of his wife on April 8, 2022.

The judge held that the prosecution had proven the burden of proof placed on it by law and subsequently found the defendant guilty.

Nwachukwu was arraigned on June 3, 2022, by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (OAGF), on behalf of the Federal Government, on a 23-count charge.

The charges included culpable homicide punishable with death, criminal intimidation, cruelty to children, criminal intimidation of children, spousal battery, and others.

During the trial, the prosecution called 17 witnesses, including two children of the late Osinachi, who testified as the fourth and fifth prosecution witnesses (PW4 and PW5), respectively. The prosecution also tendered 25 documents as exhibits before the court.

The defendant testified in his defense and called four other witnesses, tendering four exhibits.

Before sentencing, the defendant’s counsel, Reginald Nwali, pleaded with the court to be lenient in its judgment. Similarly, the prosecution counsel, Mrs. Aderonke Imala, urged the court to give force to the law as stipulated.

Justice Nwosu-Iheme subsequently sentenced Nwachukwu to death by hanging on Count 1, while he was sentenced to two years in prison each on Counts 2, 3, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 18.

The court also sentenced the defendant to six months in prison on Count 10, three years in prison on Count 11, and fined him N500,000 and N200,000 on Counts 6 and 7, respectively.

Dean, who was famously private throughout his nearly 60-year marriage to Parton, died in Nashville, Tennessee, according to a statement she posted on social media.

“Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy,” the statement read.

The “9-5” singer met Dean outside a laundromat on the first day she arrived in Nashville as an 18-year-old aspiring singer.

Parton, 79, recalled their first meeting, saying, “I was surprised and delighted that while he talked to me, he looked at my face (a rare thing for me). He seemed to be genuinely interested in finding out who I was and what I was about.”

Two years later, on May 30, 1966, the couple exchanged vows at a private ceremony in Ringgold, Georgia.

Throughout their marriage, Dean remained out of the public eye, choosing instead to focus on his asphalt-paving business in Nashville.

Though he largely stayed out of the limelight, Dean continued to influence Parton’s work, most notably inspiring her classic hit “Jolene.”

She told US media in 2008 that the song was about a bank teller who developed a crush on Dean.

“She got this terrible crush on my husband,” Parton said. “And he just loved going to the bank because she paid him so much attention. It was kinda like a running joke between us—when I was saying, ‘Hell, you’re spending a lot of time at the bank. I don’t believe we’ve got that kind of money.’ So it’s really an innocent song all around, but sounds like a dreadful one.”

Parton and Dean’s relationship remained such a mystery that rumours started that he did not exist – but Parton joked about that.

“A lot of people say there’s no Carl Dean, that he’s just somebody I made up to keep other people off me,” she said to the Associated Press in 1984.

Parton and Dean had no children together.

He is survived by his siblings, Sandra and Donnie, Parton’s statement said.

In an interview on Accra-based TV3, Ohemaa revealed that she turned to the Holy Spirit for guidance on whether pursuing a divorce was the right path.

According to her, she spent months in prayer, seeking clarity from God before finally receiving confirmation to proceed.

Her reason for the divorce was to dedicate herself entirely to her ministry and to honour God.

“I remember during my divorce process, especially during COVID-19, I depended solely on God for direction. I had a strong covenant with Him, spending three months in the mountains praying. I truly wanted to hear God’s voice about my situation, and once I received that confirmation, I made the bold decision. Without that, I wouldn’t have gone through with it,” she recounted.

“I give God the glory because, even though I am divorced, I’ve never felt God’s presence more strongly in my life than I do now.”

Ohemaa also revealed that, her husband supported the decision, allowing her to fully experience God’s guidance.

“My partner understood that we needed to go in this direction. We mutually agreed to take a break and continue supporting each other and our children. If I face any challenges, we talk and address them together. My focus is to honour God, and that’s why we chose this path,” she explained.

Despite the separation, Ohemaa emphasized that she and her ex-husband maintain a close, supportive relationship, stating, “We still talk every day and continue to support each other.”

He claimed that, despite the kind intentions behind his wife’s gesture, he felt self-conscious about his co-workers’ reaction.

He accused her of embarrassing him by bringing his favorite lunch to work.

In his Reddit post, the man explained that he was recently hired at a large company after moving with his wife a few months prior. His wife, of course, was excited about this new work opportunity and talked to him about potentially preparing a surprise to celebrate, which he was looking forward to.

However, his happiness quickly faded once he realized what his wife’s surprise was.

“She showed up at my workplace two days ago with a meal she said she prepared specifically for me since it’s my favorite. Apparently, this was her surprise,” he wrote. “I was [a] little upset she brought it to my workplace.”

He claimed that his angry reaction had more to do with what his co-workers said about it than the fact that his wife had made him lunch.

His co-workers, who he described as being “vicious” and “brutally honest” people, began teasing him about the meal that his wife brought.

One of them, named Austin, even made a “joke” that his “mommy,” referring to his wife, was incredibly supportive for bringing him lunch to his workplace. He clearly felt embarrassed that his co-workers were making these jabs and were laughing at him, and unfortunately, they continued into the next day.

“I went to work the next day, and Austin kept making jokes about me, saying, ‘Is mommy going to bring lunch today as well?’ And, ‘When is mommy coming to change your diaper?'” he continued.

Feeling incredibly awful about all of the comments, he went home and confronted his wife, accusing her of embarrassing him and ruining the respect and prestige that he had with his co-workers.

She argued that she was simply trying to do something nice for him by making and bringing him lunch.

His wife is right. All she wanted was to surprise him and congratulate him on receiving a great opportunity. It’s not her fault that his co-workers chose to bully and tease him about it. Instead of taking his anger out on his wife and blaming her, he should’ve taken up the issue with his co-workers.

Simply put, the aggression that should be directed elsewhere or diffused is pushed onto someone else. “It’s not fun to be the recipient of someone’s anger, especially when it’s not even your fault,” Dr. Michael Kane, a board-certified psychiatrist and Medical Director at the Indiana Center for Recovery, explained to the outlet. “Displaced anger can cause tension, arguments, and hurt feelings in any type of relationship — romantic, platonic, or familial.”

“The argument escalated after I suggested that she could’ve waited till I got home to surprise me with this meal instead of showing up while I was working, which made me seem unprofessional,” he added. “She said she came during lunch break, but I was still working during lunch break.”

His wife pointed out that it seemed as if it was easier for him to place the blame on her instead of standing up for himself — a sentiment echoed by almost every commenter. He reiterated that she should’ve “consulted” him before showing up to his job, and was angered even more when his wife stood firm and insisted that it wasn’t her behavior that caused the issue at work, but the behavior of his co-workers.

Instead of expressing gratitude that his wife took the time out of her day to do something memorable and loving for him, he turned it around on her, which isn’t fair in the slightest.

They claimed he was a user and only wanted me for my money. However, I dismissed their claims because I thought that they were jealous that I had finally found happiness, especially since everything seemed to be working out.

My husband was the complete opposite of what they claimed he was. We built a beautiful home and lived the fairytale until one day, he left me for an older woman.

It was sudden. I didn’t see it coming since we were more than happy together. Henry had no reason to leave our marriage, especially for an older woman, which made the betrayal feel even worse. The most challenging part was how I would raise my children alone. They loved their father and I didn’t want them to think ill of him.

I was confused about what to do and what to tell our children. So, for the first few months, I lied to them that he had gone on a work trip.

“Mum, where’s dad?” They asked persistently.

“He has travelled. He’ll be back.” I would tell them.

I hoped that Henry would show up during that time so I didn’t have to explain to the children what was going on but he didn’t. It took months for me to even know where he was.

Apparently, he hadn’t moved very far. He was spotted close to my neighbourhood driving a new Range Rover in the company of a known sugar mummy.

I didn’t want to believe that my husband could stoop to that level so I continued denying that it was him until I saw him with my own eyes. Indeed, he was driving a Range Rover around the neighbourhood like he was a king. He looked so carefree and didn’t seem concerned about the family he had left behind. I hid behind a kiosk as he passed by so he wouldn’t spot me but I was tempted to cause a commotion.

I went home with my head down, trying to figure out how I would break the news to my children. It was close to a year and they weren’t buying the story that their father was on a trip.

“Where’s dad?” My youngest child asked.

I hesitated as I fought back tears.

“It’s okay, mum. We will understand.” My firstborn said which gave me the strength to tell them.

“Your father is living with another woman.”

“So, it’s true!” My son exclaimed.

“What do you mean?”

“One of my schoolmates told me that my father wasn’t on a trip. He was seen in a Range Rover with an older woman.”

I was shocked by how much my community gossiped about people’s lives. Nonetheless, I was relieved that my kids finally knew the truth. I could now live life without worrying that my kids would find out the truth.

Surprisingly, they were not as distressed as I expected. My youngest child was more upset since she was close with her father but after a few days, she realized that her life wasn’t any different with or without her father.

The other challenge was how I would be able to support my family financially. Though I had a good job, I was not capable of doing everything on my own, especially since my daughter was about to join school.

I suspected that was the reason Henry walked out on us. He never supported me financially since he said that I had money but I had been pressuring him to start contributing more financially since we were about to start paying school fees for two children.

He seemed cooperative at first and promised that he was working on a business deal that would make us rich.

“Don’t worry babe. You won’t have to work once this deal comes through.” He said.

Prior to walking out of our marriage, Henry had been going on trips more often than usual which made me believe that he was working on a business deal. Little did I know the deal was actually my husband sleeping with an older woman.

I didn’t have a choice but to be strong for my kids and life moved on as it always did. Actually, I was doing great. I got a promotion so I started earning twice my salary. I no longer worried about money and I could finally start enjoying life.

Out of nowhere, Henry showed up at my house. He looked weak and unkempt like he hadn’t been eating well. Obviously, I didn’t want to know what he was going through but he looked like he was on the verge of death so I took pity on him and allowed him in the house.

I served him some food and a glass of juice so he could replenish his energy. Once he was satisfied, he raised his head and smiled for the first time.

“Thank you, my wife.” He said.

“I’m not your wife.”

“I know I did you wrong but I have come to apologize.”

“Before you apologize, why do you look so dishevelled.”

“It’s a long story, but I need your forgiveness first.”

I’m not one to hold grudges so I forgave him. He asked if he could stay with me until he got back on his feet which I also agreed to.

“We are not getting back together though,” I warned him.

A week later, he still hadn’t told me what had happened and he kept dodging the question.

“You need to tell me what brought you here or you can’t stay in my house anymore.”

“I made a mistake.” He started. “I shouldn’t have followed that older woman but she enticed me with promises of a good life.”

“You had a good life here,” I interjected.

“I know and I shouldn’t have left. She did give me a lot of good things but for what good were those things when it came at the cost of my health.”

I was silent knowing what he was about to say next.

“I’m HIV positive.” He said then broke down in tears.

Though he looked sickly, I didn’t suspect that he was infected but luckily, we hadn’t been intimate since he came back to the house. I took him to hospital and he was put on medication.

However, I couldn’t live with him anymore. He went back to his parent’s home in the village where he had been living and thriving. He started a farming business and even got another family.

For me, I closed the dating chapter for good. I’m focused on raising my kids and enjoying my single life and since most women in my community are single mothers, I have been navigating my new life easily.

According to reports, the suspect, Ibrahim Anas inflicted cutlass wounds on his wife during an argument.

The victim is currently receiving treatment at Banda Health Center.

Assemblyman for Donwieso West Electoral Area, John Mpoebi Nteleye confirmed this incident to Adom News.

He said the victim suffered deep cuts on her forehead, hands, mouth, shoulder, and stomach.

Following up at the health center, Physician Assistant, Godfred Atsu Kpodo said the victim is responding well to treatment

Meanwhile, the suspect is currently in Police custody assisting with the investigation.

“My father played a pivotal role in bringing my husband into my life. Both my father and my husband were members of the Yilo Association and it was through this affiliation that my father introduced him to me” Mama Zimbi said.

Sharing the story on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem, she added, “I eventually became a member of the group, and as time passed, love blossomed between us, leading to our marriage.”

The veteran presenter, affectionately known as Akumaa said “We have been happily married for over three decades now and are blessed with six wonderful children.”

In a TikTok video, Neufville responded to another content creator who pointed out that there are more and more examples of fathers not being equal contributors in raising a child, and questioned how women can find some ways to avoid ending up in a partnership like that.

She revealed how she could tell that her husband would help with parenting their kids before they even got married.

Neufville explained that when she first met her husband they were just friends and taking things slow. They’d attended an event together and at this outing there was a woman there who was supposed to be teaching a class but was busy with her baby.

“She just had her fifth baby and the baby wasn’t settling. So my husband, just an acquaintance at the time, offered to help her out with her baby,” Neufville recalled. “He took the baby from her, so that way she could teach the class.”

Neufville claimed that her future husband held this baby for around an hour-and-a-half and put the infant to sleep. He stepped outside with the baby so he/she could get some fresh air, and was just rocking the baby until the woman was able to finish teaching her class.

Without being asked, and out of the goodness of his heart, Neuvfille’s husband noticed someone in need, a mother at that, and offered help in the best way that he knew how to.

“At the time, I wasn’t really interested in dating, but I was observing him just from that standpoint and it definitely stood out to me,” Neufville recalled. 

She recalled her husband taking initiative when they had their first baby and she was extremely exhausted.

Once Neufville and her husband were married and had their first baby, she realized that the good qualities she’d initially noticed when they were just friends were traits he’d nurtured and taken into consideration when it came to raising and taking care of his own family.

“I remember it was a pretty stressful time and anyone who’s had a newborn knows how intense it can be and the lack of sleep that you can get,” she said. “I was exclusively breastfeeding. So, I remember one night I slept longer than usual.”

She eventually woke up and noticed that her husband and their baby were gone. Walking around their home, she went into the baby’s room and found her daughter in the crib. Her husband was also in there and had gotten a towel out, laid it on the floor, and was sleeping next to the crib.

“You could see that he had slipped his hand through the crib bars. He slipped his hand through there just to be able to hold her hand. She just needed someone next to her and he didn’t wanna wake me,” she continued. “She had already been fed, but he knew that she just needed some comfort.”

Neufville explained that this interaction between her husband and their daughter was something she still thinks about to this day, and it also caused her to reflect on what she saw of her husband before they were even dating.

She noted that her husband didn’t wait before taking charge, especially with that woman at the event and her baby.

“I just knew that he would be the same way towards our children,” she remarked. Neufville acknowledged that there is a possibility that people can switch up once they have to parent their own children, but she maintained that there are certain things that you can look for in a potential partner.

“I feel like if you’re looking for the same things, there are little hints during your dating phase that you can see whether or not someone is going to be helpful or to be able to contribute to your family and especially be present for your children.

Despite Neufville’s dynamic with her husband and the fact that he seems to be both physically and emotionally present with their children, there are mothers out there who bear most of the childcare responsibilities.

In a recent poll by AP and The University of Chicago, 35% of participating mothers said they are doing more than their partner around the house. The number is a stark difference from the 3% of participating fathers who answered the same.

It’s important that in a partnership such as marriage, all responsibilities are split evenly between both individuals, especially if there are children involved.

Neufville’s insistence that no one should settle for someone who does the bare minimum and makes life harder when it comes to raising children proves that an equal partnership is attainable, and is the key to having a balanced family dynamic and environment.

In an interview on TV3 monitored by Adomonline.com, the Executive Chef revealed she met her husband by the roadside during one of their military engagements.

Initially, their meeting was brief and it seemed as though a reunion was impossible, until her uncle informed Captain Reginald Agyei of his daughter who owned an eatery vulnerable to armed robbery.

The young Captain Agyei decided to investigate and that led him to Chef Faila restaurant.

Chef Faila opened up on how she disguised as a waitress during the early stage of their relationship in a bid to uncover his true intentions.

She said her ‘Mr Right’ must love her for who she is, not what she has achieved for herself.

According to her, they developed deep affection for each other and were open to taking their relationship further.

Faila also recounted how her now husband invited her over to the barracks multiple times, which she rejected, citing a strict boss as her excuse.

As fate will have it, her workers eventually exposed her true identity and she became more open to her husband.

Asked how she knew he was the right man for her, Chef Faila said she was moved by his tears.

“I realized he was the one when one time he cried over somebody else trying so hard to take me away from me. Having to se a military man cry for a woman was emotional. My friends kept telling me ‘Faila, you see this particular guy, if you lose him, you won’t get a man like him again'” she narrated.

Convinced with their endorsement, Chef Faila said she took the bold step to marry outside her tribe and settle for an Akan man from the Eastern Region.

Their union has been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Abrefi, named after her husband’s grand mother.

We met nearly ten years ago because my first teenage love died, and there was a memorial service at his wife’s house.

My husband was my teenage love’s best friend for practically his whole life. Upon talking to him, we discovered that our years living in Pompano Beach were on the periphery of each other the whole time, yet we had never met before.

I felt a spark between us the minute I shook his hand. I didn’t ask if he felt it, too, because I was suddenly shy around him.

When it was time to go, he asked me to add him as a Facebook friend. I spent the next two days wondering if it meant something and hoping that it did.

Sure enough, we started chatting through Messenger. We talked about the people and places we both knew and how bizarre it was that our paths never crossed.

This happens even now. One of us will name someone or something from back in the day, and the other always knows the person or the setting. It felt like fate.

I believe to this day that my first love brought us together, knowing that our lives were miserable by ourselves.

The next time I saw him in person, I gave him a great big hug and got a good look at him. He had the most amazing green eyes and dark curly hair.

He looked so familiar even though we’d never met, like the face that was supposed to be in my life all along.

He treated me like no one else ever had. He looked at me like I was the most beautiful creature on Earth. He also spoiled me rotten, taking me to places I couldn’t afford on my own and bringing me little gifts. I could have told him he didn’t have to because I was already fully hooked.

Since that first day, we’ve only been apart a few times. We were married in Key West on the beach with the Atlantic Ocean in the background. I’d been married twice before and things didn’t work out. I believed the third time was definitely the charm. Even after two failed marriages, I still deeply believed in love, and I felt blessed to have found it.

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when spouses start to take each other for granted in their marriages. The “honeymoon” period can last for any length of time, but every marriage is comprised of highs and lows. Couples start finding things that annoy them about each other. Sometimes they even forget to be kind. I’ve been guilty of it, too.

Nine years into our marriage, I sometimes feel like my husband loves me — but doesn’t like me anymore, and I start to wonder what changed between us. This doesn’t happen all the time; it ebbs and flows.

If my husband was asked if he loves me, I’m sure he would say yes. Liking me is a different story. I used to get really upset during these lows and agonize over what I did wrong and how I could change. Now, it’s become such a pattern in our marriage that I don’t take it personally anymore.

After all, my husband has stress just like I do. He gets upset about his job, money, or any number of things. Once I realized his stress may not have anything to do with me, I was able to relax.

These days, when we’re in one of these lows, I focus on being kinder to him in addition to giving him a little space. Marriage is not always 50/50. Sometimes one of us has to carry the load until the other one catches up. I love him and don’t want to see him unhappy, and I try to remember that when we aren’t getting along.

It would be a different story if he became mean or threatened me with divorce or worse. That was the truth of my second marriage. My husband is nothing like my ex, and I know he’s not out to hurt me. We don’t ever use expletives with each other, and even when we’re mad, we try to be respectful.

My advice for anyone going through the highs and lows of marriage would be to enjoy the good times and pause during the tough times because they don’t last forever. As long as there are good times, it’s worth sticking it out. However, if the bad primarily outweighs the good, you likely have a more serious problem.

Of course, it’s never okay for somebody to abuse their spouse verbally, mentally, or physically. Ignoring those red flags can lead to real danger if it doesn’t stop. If you’re in one of these situations, it’s time to think about re-evaluating things.

Otherwise, it’s important to take care of ourselves because no one person can really complete another. Bringing our best selves into a relationship is a good way to keep a marriage healthy. We need to make sure that even if things don’t work out in our marriages, we still have ourselves — this took me a long time to learn.

I will always believe I have the greatest husband in the world, though, and that counts for a lot because something that special is always worth keeping.

According to the relationship expert, her father was the one who connected her with her husband.

Narrating their journey on Adom TV M’ashayse3, Akumaa said their story was not that of love at first sight because it was never her plan or interest as a Krobo lady to marry her tribesman.

However, she learned to like and love her husband, adding that their union has stood the test of time and has endured so many years.

“My father and husband were both members of the Krobo association, and it was through that that my father introduced him to me. I had to become a member of the group as a result, and over time, we fell in love and got married,” she told Afia Amankwa Tamakloe.

Akumaa stated she has no regrets about making that decision, stating they have been married for over 30 years with six children; four beautiful daughters and two men.

The union she revealed has also been blessed with 11 grandchildren.

Commenting on how she has been able to keep her family out of the media space all these years, Akumaa said it is a personal decision as someone who knows the kind of man she is married to.

Asked if her husband has any problems with her line of work, she stated she has been very supportive throughout the years.

Paul Pelosi was held after his Porsche was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Napa County on Saturday night.

No one was injured and the other driver was not arrested.

Eighty-two-year-old Mr Pelosi was charged with two misdemeanours and had his bail set at $5,000.

He is not listed as being currently in custody.

The California Highway Patrol said Mr Pelosi had been attempting to cross State Route-29 when his car was struck by a 48-year-old man driving a Jeep.

California law states drivers cannot operate a vehicle if their blood alcohol level is more than 0.08%. Authorities have not said what Mr Pelosi’s level was.

Mrs Pelosi was delivering an address at Brown University when the incident happened.

Her spokesman released a statement saying she would not be commenting on the “private matter”.

Paul Pelosi has not yet commented on his arrest.

Reacting to the death of Osinachi whose demise triggered a public outcry, the IGP noted that the untimely death is heart-breaking, particularly as information from sources close to the family and independent witnesses fingered her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, as being responsible for her death.

He stated that the FCT Command of the Nigeria Police Force, in whose jurisdiction the incident occurred, arrested the deceased’s husband at about 5 pm on Sunday 10th April 2022 at their residence in Lugbe, Abuja.

The suspect is currently in detention at the FCT Police Command even as investigations are still ongoing.

Diana Hamilton’s husband, Joseph Okoi Hamilton, is a medical practitioner in the United States.

My husband and I have been together for nine years and went through a rocky patch recently after he admitted to becoming “over-friendly” with a girl he works with.

He came clean, which I guess is something, and told me he thought it was down to his low self-esteem and feeling we’d grown apart.

Apparently, this girl made the moves and he was flattered, but he stopped it before anything physical happened.

I was devastated at first – I never imagined he’d do anything like this.

It’s revived our sex life, too, in that I want him more than ever, but he sometimes rejects me, saying it’s too much, which makes me paranoid.

The other day, I opened the door to him wearing only underwear and heels and he just looked horrified.

I think wanting more physical intimacy is a common reaction when your ­relationship is threatened.

You need to feel that he wants you and he loves you.

However, it could be making him feel guilty because he’s aware that you’re doing it because he got too close to another woman.

Yes, I think you can get over it, but it’s about talking, talking, talking.

It needs to be an ongoing conversation about why your marriage is vulnerable and how you can make it stronger.

You don’t have to put on a show for him – he should be the one making the effort for you.

I feel you’re trying to outdo the other woman instead of thinking, “I don’t deserve how he treated me”.

You seem to be taking a lot of blame for this, too.

Yes, you have to look at yourself to see where you went wrong, but he could have explained what was missing in your relationship before seeking it from someone else.

Getting your marriage back on track is a work in progress and it takes time.

You can’t just fix it with sex, but you can repair the damage by talking.

I’m hoping for some advice on my marriage, as I feel very guilty about forming friendships with other men that my husband knows nothing about.

We’re both in our mid-40s, have been married for 12 years and have one daughter. I’ve always worked from home, even before the pandemic, while my husband goes into an office. I’ve got to know our local area and the people really well and have made lots of connections.

It sounds as if you have a very strong need to feel desired, get attention from other men, and to know that guys still want you.

That’s all coming from ­somewhere and maybe the roots are in your past or it’s because you’re craving something you’re not getting from your husband. Is he not making you feel attractive and wanted?

So you need to think about what’s driving this pattern. If it’s something that’s lacking in your husband and your marriage, then you need to address it with him and work through it.

If it’s something from your childhood or teenage years – maybe you had to fight for attention or felt overlooked – then counselling would be a good place to start. I suspect it’s coming from a place of insecurity. You’re still fighting for ­attention when you don’t have to.

However, you’re fooling yourself if you think it’s not damaging your marriage or you’re not really doing anything wrong because sex isn’t involved.

Becoming emotionally intimate with these men is still cheating and the lies and secrecy are damaging.

So think about your motivation and if you still don’t understand why you’re doing it, then try therapy.

She claims she was, unfortunately, forced to leave her old job back in 2019 on account of her physical disabilities and for the next couple of years found that no other company wanted to hire her.

When her husband suggested that she “just stay home and not worry about working”, the woman agreed, meaning that he has since become the breadwinner in their relationship.

However, the arrangement quickly soured, with the wife now expected to do all the household chores, despite the “physical discomfort” which had made work so very difficult for her.

When she confronted her husband about the distribution of chores, as detailed in a recent Reddit post, he agreed to share out household tasks evenly again once she was back at work. However, his attitude was far from encouraging.

The concerned wife wrote: “I told him I would find a job and he laughed and said “good luck” (I remember this vividly because of the strange laugh that I never heard him laugh before)”.

She proceeded to search for jobs for months on end without success. However, there appeared to be a chink of light at the end of what was no doubt a long and frustrating tunnel when her friend’s husband found her a potentially suitable position.

The job in question would allow the woman to work from home, relieving any worries she might have had about physical strain.

She was “so excited” by the opportunity, and began feeling “like I’m capable again despite the struggle”.

However, when she told her husband about the upcoming interview, “he looked red in the face but said nothing.”

A few days back, the poster was confused when her friend rang her to ask why she’d cancelled the interview. She hadn’t and had no idea what she meant.

After checking her inbox, she found no correspondence between herself and the company to suggest the interview was off. It became clear something else was going on.

The woman revealed: “My husband came home and admitted cancelling the interview. I asked why and he said that ‘this job had lots of requirements and I didn’t seem fit to be accepted there so to spare me the heartache of being rejected, he just cancelled the interview#.

I flipped out on him and told him he destroyed my one and only chance at landing a job. but he said he was just feeling concerned about my wellbeing”.

In response, she told her husband that “he probably didn’t want me to work cause he didn’t want to split house chores”, a suggestion that he “seemed offended by”, throwing “a fit about how unreasonable and selfish I was to even consider a job without speaking to him first”.

The poster continued: “I told him I don’t get involved in his work life. He called me horrible for accusing him of bad intentions then went out to meet his friends probably to vent because one of them told me that my husband is looking out for me but I was being cruel to him by yelling”.

Ever since their altercation, her husband has been “cold-shouldering” her, even deleting her “social media accounts claiming that they’re bad for my mental health because of the negative effect some of those platforms have”. Turning to her fellow Reddit users, the conflicted wife asked whether she was in the wrong for yelling at her husband.

Those commenting were quick to point out that the only person in the wrong was her husband, expressing serious concerns about his controlling and manipulative behaviour.

Sharing her story anonymously, the woman said she had always been a reader and had a vast collection of classic novels, adding that she devoted a lot of time to collecting books to add to her collection.

But reading had become a contentious issue with her new husband, as he felt that she spent too much time immersed in literature.

He took it on himself to sort out the problem and gave away many of her books without her knowledge, and when she found out he said he did it for her ‘own good’ as she had forgotten her ‘priorities’.

Taking to Reddit, the woman said: “I am a reader, I used to read a lot in my teenage years as an escape method from many of my problems and recently I got back into reading.

“I read classic books since this category is my favourite, I spend time and effort visiting libraries and online shops to collect books.

“Thing is, my husband hates it when I read.

“We’ve just returned from honeymoon two months ago and he’s been complaining about books taking our special time away, specifically at night but I like to think that I’m balancing with my reading time.

“He has started calling me a grandma or says I remind him of an old lady neighbour to get me to quit reading but it didn’t budge me.

“A week ago, I found out that he’s given my book collection away and I was devastated after he defended himself saying he did this for my own good and for the sake of our marriage since I seemed to forget my priorities.

“I flipped out, yelled at him that those books were hard to get and demanded he pay me and replace them right then but he said that I really should invest my time in an outdoor hobby we could both do.

“I was having none of it and demanded he replace the books, I gave him a list of every book and when he saw it he laughed and asked if I was really still thinking about those books and suggested I ‘move on’.

“I yelled at him telling him he has a week to replace them and that was it.”

After sharing her story online, the woman was inundated with support from others saying the husband was in the wrong – and that his actions were a huge red flag.

One said: “Time to get an annulment or divorce. He seems very controlling and it will only get worse.”

Then another wrote: “Throw the husband away and replace him with more books.”

And a third added: “I would divorce right away if my partner did something like this. Just throwing away something your partner enjoys, and that is actually a healthy hobby, is just plain toxic and abusive.”

On October 13, 2021, Doris Lamptey was reported to have attacked his husband, Isaac Lamptey, whom she had married for seven years without a child.

The victim, Isaac Lamptey, a mason and farmer, had returned home from Dodowa after working there for two months three weeks when he was attacked by his wife, who had also returned from work three days later.

According to Isaac, he rejected his wife’s attempt to have sexual intercourse with him because he was tired and pleaded that she allowed him to take a deep rest.

“She wanted me to help open her zip for her, which I did. Then, I went to bathe and eat. Then, she asked the children who were with us to close the gate.

“I went to bed, and she came to the room and asked me to sleep in a supine position, so she puts her head on me, but I didn’t because I was tired.

“I slept off, and after a while, I detected she had poured acid on my face and my body. I suddenly woke up and attempted to call for help, but she struck my head with a stick, so I fell.

“She thought I was dead, so she left me. I managed to get up and run away from the room screaming for help,” the victim narrated.

According to him, they never had quarrels until she started faking pregnancies.

The case, he said, has been lodged with the Nkawkaw Police Command for investigations but claims the Police have failed to initiate processes to apprehend the suspect.   

Sharing her story anonymously, the woman said that she had been married for about a year when her partner discovered that he was part Native American.

The woman’s curiosity was sparked, as she too was part Native Americanmothe – so she did some research and looked into his family tree, but was shocked by what she learned.

After going back just a short way, she saw her own maiden name on the list, so she compared his family tree with her own and found a link – her great grandmother was his great grand aunt.

Taking to Reddit, she said: “I did some genealogy research on my husband’s maternal side of the family. I find his great-great-grandfather who is officially Seminole Indian.

“We are excited at this point because we find that his grandmother was also born in Oklahoma on the Seminole territory.

“Well, I decided to go back a Lil further and I become alarmed when I find my mother’s maiden surname down the line. I look into it further and find that they were born on Chickasaw territory in Oklahoma.

“At this point, my adrenaline kicks in and I immediately jump back to my mother’s family tree. And there I found her. The woman that connects us. My second great-grandmother, and my husband third great grand aunt.

“The first thing I thought of was my mother-in-law saying ‘I feel like she’s a part of me’ when we first met. Funny how that works.

“No going back now. We’re married and we have a daughter together. It really is a small world.”

After sharing her story online, the woman was inundated with comments from people who said she shouldn’t be concerned – reassuring her that it wasn’t as rare as she thought.

One said: “It’s fine, don’t flip out over it. People tend to generally stay in one geographic area, lots of people all around you are distantly related somehow. Practically can’t avoid it.”

While another added: “That’s actually kinda cool. I can see why it might disturb you at first. But your kid will have quite an interesting ancestry of being two tribes.”

And a third wrote: “My husband and I did this too but found out I’m distantly related to his best friend.”

Kaakie solemnized her relationship with her High School lover popularly known as Kweku Spider in a traditional ceremony on January 2 followed by a white wedding.

The orange and peach flowery-themed wedding took place in Manet Ville at Accra and was attended by many celebrities.

Two years down the line and Kaakie, real name Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey has reminisced her big day.

This was disclosed by Police prosecutors during proceedings at the Asokwa District Court on Friday.

The forensic examination, which constitutes the latest evidence on the case was conducted in Accra.

Giving details, the Police prosecutors informed the Court that the note, which read, “Hello Sir, you know our number. Call and pay the ransom,” was written by Dr Aggrey, a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

They asserted that the new evidence confirms Dr Aggrey’s culpability in the disappearance of his wife.

This is the second time Police investigators have linked Dr Aggrey to the disappearance of his wife.

When the prosecutors informed the court about the new development, the defense counsel objected to it.

In October, investigations by the Police revealed that the accused sent messages from Rhodaline’s phone to relatives and friends from a spot near the Okodie Road on the KNUST campus, on the day she was allegedly kidnapped.

The prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Benjamin Moore Ankrah, had earlier prayed the court to adjourn proceedings to allow the Attorney-General (A-G) make an appearance.

He explained that the nature of the case requires thorough investigations.

But defense counsel, Frederick Kankam, was unhappy over the number of times the case has had to be adjourned.

He blamed the prosecution for the delays and prayed the Court to make a definite pronouncement for hearing to commence or Case Management Conference to be held.

The Court, presided by Korkor Achaw Owusu, adjourned the hearing to January 14, 2022, to enable the A-G’s office make an appearance.

The accused, Dr Aggrey, is currently on a provisional charge of kidnapping his wife, Rhodaline Amoah-Darko, a staff of the Lands Commission Office in Kumasi.

The 38-year-old Dr Aggrey has been in custody after his arrest on October 6, 2021, following the disappearance of his wife on August 30, 2021.

The couple have two children.

That’s what happened to one woman on Reddit, who explained she’s been left heartbroken because her husband has filed for divorce 20 years after she made a series of mistakes.

The woman explained in a lengthy post that she cheated on her husband – who was her boyfriend of five years at the time – four times in 2001, but insisted all her acts of infidelity only involved kissing and did not involve sex.

She said she was encouraged to do so by her friend Julia, who also cheated on her boyfriend at the time, but the woman put a stop to her antics because it felt wrong to kiss someone who wasn’t her partner.

She said: “Back in 2001, yes 20 years ago, I was young and dumb and did something horrible. I had been with my husband (boyfriend at the time) for five years at that point.

“We grew up in the same hometown, part of the same friend group as kids and fell in love in high school. We’ve been together ever since.

“After college, however, I got it into my head that my relationship was holding me down and stifling my self-expression.”

My best friend Julia agreed with the sentiment. Together we’d go out clubbing, leaving our boyfriends at home.

“The more we partied, the more Julia would want to cheat. Eventually, she started making out with other guys at clubs.

“And I’m ashamed to say that for a few nights, I did the same: dancing with guys and kissing them.

“I put a stop to this after a few such incidents. I felt disgusted with myself, with her, with these strangers I was kissing, and most of all I felt horrible about cheating on the love of my life.”

The woman told Julia she wouldn’t be going out with her anymore and they both agreed to stop what they were doing – but the woman never told her partner what she had done.

She went on to tie the knot with her spouse and the pair have four children aged between 18 and 14.

But now, 20 years later, the truth has come out, as Julia has told the woman’s husband what happened two decades ago – but with key details missing.

Julia doesn’t remember that the woman only kissed four people, and instead only remembers that she cheated “for almost an entire year” and assumes her friend continued the actions for just as long.

And following the bombshell announcement, the woman’s husband filed for divorce.

She added: “One night, in February of this year, she had too much to drink, and she ended up letting spill our little cheating incidents back in the day.

“I came home the next day and my husband sat me down and asked me point blank if I ever cheated on him. I could tell from the look in his eyes that he knew everything.

“He told me that he wants a DNA test on all of our children, which of course I agreed to because they’re his. He’s the only man I’ve ever slept with.

“When the results came back, I thought that we could finally start rebuilding our foundation of trust.

I had all the energy in the world to put into our marriage and to show my man that I was worth his time and his love.

“The day the results came back, he told me he wanted a divorce.”

The woman and her husband were legally divorced in October this year and she is devastated to have lost the love of her life.

But to make matters worse, Julia is now “sleeping over” at the man’s condo – leading the woman to believe she’s making a move on her ex-husband.

She explained: “Last weekend, one of my younger kids mentioned that Julia has been sleeping over at my husband’s condo. I am incensed with jealousy and hatred for her and anguish at this whole situation.

“I need to win him back. This isn’t how our lives are supposed to end. We have worked so damn hard to build our home and he can’t share it all with her, while I rot out here in the cold.”

The woman’s Reddit post received over 1,000 comments – and people are divided over who’s to blame.

One person said: “Your ‘best friend’ planned this to take your husband.”

An Arizona woman, who was the birthing partner for her best friend, discovered to her horror that her own husband was the father.

This was after she noticed a rare hereditary birth mark on the girl’s neck that was identical to the cheating man’s, according to Caters.

Hailey Custer, 28, a mother of four from Wickenburg, was left heartbroken after finding out her husband, Travis Bowling, 36, allegedly cheated on her with her bestie, the news agency said.

Custer claimed her now-ex hubby cheated with at least 30 women during their six years of marriage, during which he had two kids with two other people.

“I heard rumours that my friend was pregnant and homeless, so I reached out to her. I felt the need to help her,” Custer told the outlet. “We had just got home from the hospital and I was changing the baby and when she turned her neck the birth defect popped out. “Like you have your shock, your anger and you come to the conclusion that this is actually real life, this is actually happening,” she added.

Custer said she had taken on a “father figure role” with the baby.

“I was there for her every step of the way. Even in the hospital, I wore the daddy wrist band, when she got her epidural, she laid on me. I actually gave the baby her first bath,” she told Caters.

When the initial shock wore off, Custer said she forgave her pal — and decided to continue their friendship and to have a cordial relationship with her ex for the sake of the kids.

“For me, I was in a state of shock for a little bit. I walked outside when I first found out and just prayed,” she said. “I kept hearing the words over and over in my head, ‘bigger picture.’ For me, that meant ‘stop with your tunnel vision.’”

Custer shared her story on TikTok, where her original video garnered over 3.4 million views

“I’ve had one or two comments who are obviously men and narcissistic who said, ‘Well if you took care of your man, he wouldn’t have cheated,’” she said.

“A lot of the comments, though, have been in support of me but there’s been some heat towards my friend which I try to shut down as soon as possible because that was not my goal,” she continued.

“It’s huge for everyone to know that I found forgiveness for myself. I’ve had to find forgiveness for myself and for the children,” added Custer, whose ex and friend declined to comment.

Fans and followers, who have been stunned by Mercy Asiedu’s post, have massively reacted with love emojis.

According to Mr Mwasya, the wife had been having a romantic affair with the pastor for over two years in what has developed into a classic example of the shepherd ‘eating’ the herd.

“For the past 24 years, it never occurred to me that Grace could be so evil to the extent of dating our pastor. She has also been denying me conjugal rights and giving lame excuses.

It was a shameful incident that left the pastor with an egg on the face. He was dismissed from work.

Defending herself, the woman said her husband was weak in bed something that pushed her to fall for the pastor who was 10 years younger than her husband.

It was later established that the man had contacted a herbalist to help him catch the two who were trying so hard not to leave further traces of their illicit love after the love messages.

“They were busted stuck in a Machakos guest house. This was what attracted staffers and clients to the premises. They were wailing in pain requesting to be assisted,” Mr Mwasya said, adding that the herbalist intervened and freed the duo from the agony.

The elders are yet to make a decision on the matter but he has hinted at forgiving his wife. The herbalist has offered to put him on medication to boost his libido.

The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Thursday at an area called Three Brothers at Sankore of the Ahafo Region.

A witness, Priscilla Yeboah, who narrated the incident on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, gave the deceased’s name as Gifty.

According to her, she moved out of her husband’s house about two months ago following a misunderstanding, leading to a possible divorce.

Miss Yeboah explained Gifty had been in her parents’ house with her three children until her demise Thursday morning.

She narrated the angry husband stormed the house wielding the gun and machete on Thursday morning.

“He had an altercation with the wife and attempted to fire the gun which led to a struggle over the weapon.

“A first shot was fired but into the air, but the second hit the woman, leading to the death,” she said.

After killing the wife, he went on to attack the mother-in-law who had their baby at her back. He slashed her forehead and leg.

The suspect is said to have ransacked the house and bolted with his father-in-law who had gone to the farm’s gun.

Emmanuel Kofi Gafa, 40, was grabbed at his hideout at Nyanoa farming Community.

The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, told Kasapa News the suspect was being transported to New Abirem District Police Command.

“The 40-year-old man suspected to have murdered the children and wife at Ntronang based on intelligence have been arrested based on appeal police made to persons who will see him around the vicinity. He was arrested at a village called Nyanoa as we speak he is being transported to New Abirem District Police Command,” he said.

Patience Kpezle, 38, mother, and her two children – Belinda Nyarko,13, and Isaac Nyarko Gafa,11, were found dead in a room at Cashland, a suburb of Akyem Ntronang in the Eastern Region on August 24, 2021.

The Assembly member for the Mentukwa Electoral area where the incident occurred, Samuel Dodzi, reported to the police that, a stench was emitting from a room and they suspected foul play. Police proceeded to the said room which was locked from outside and forced it open.

The woman and her two children were found dead. They are believed to have been allegedly killed on Sunday.

Preliminary investigation indicates that her husband, suspect Gafa, who was with them, disappeared from the house on August 22, 2021, and has since not returned.

The bodies have been conveyed to the Mamanso Community mortuary while an investigation continues.

After he caught his wife and the police officer in his matrimonial home, a confrontation happened, after which CSP Umeh had him arrested and tortured.

A Lagos-based human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, who represented Mr Etim at the High Court of Akwa Ibom State, asked the court to enforce the fundamental rights of his client to dignity of the human person, personal liberty, private and family lives and freedom of movement.

In a judgement delivered on Monday, August 16, 2021, the presiding judge, Justice Charles Ikpe, found that the police violated the fundamental right of the applicant to personal liberty by detaining him for three days without justification and torturing him.

Also, the court found CSP Umeh liable for violation of the fundamental right of the applicant to private and family life by intruding into the matrimonial home of Mr Etim without his consent.

He was billed to pay the applicant a sum of N4 million.

The court restrained the police from arresting the applicant except by the order of a court.

In an earlier interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the actress indicated that she couldn’t salvage any of her valuables from the inferno, adding that, even all her panties got burnt.

She advised pregnant women to allow their husbands to suck their breasts to prepare them for breastfeeding after delivery.

Ms Oladimeji gave the advice at a sensitisation programme marking the 2021 World Breastfeeding Week organised by the Amuwo Odofin Maternal and Child Centre, Festac Town.

“Allow your husbands to suck your breasts during pregnancy. Apart from bonding, it will help the nipples to be out and make it easier for your baby to latch on.

“You can also rub vaseline on your nipples at night before going to sleep. It also helps to soften it, (the breasts)” the nursing sister said.

She urged pregnant women to prepare their breasts during pregnancy to avoid lactation problems after delivery.

She added that the colostrum – the yellowish milk that flows within the first five days of delivery – contains nutrients that help boost the baby’s immunity and may be formed through sucking.

“It is still breast milk,” she said.

Ms Oladimeji cautioned that certain food, herbs and medications could hurt babies if they cross into the breast milk.

She particularly noted that drinking palmwine to improve lactation could introduce alcohol into the baby’s system during breastfeeding.

Ms Oladimeji further cautioned mothers seeking advice from people who were not qualified to take care of babies to avoid causing harm to their children.

Also, the hospital’s Dietician, Gbemisola Ogundipe, advised lactating mothers to ensure they take well-balanced meals and lots of water to increase the volume and quality of their breast milk.

“A breastfeeding mother should have meat, fish, eggs and vegetables in her meals. She should also take a glass of juice or smoothies.

“She should increase her fluid intake and this can come in form of water, milk, yoghurt, ice cream and pap,” she said.

Ms Ogundipe also cautioned women against weaning their babies before they get to one year because of the misconception that breast milk changes to blood when a child turns one year.

She said exclusive breastfeeding was not only beneficial to the babies but also to the mothers and their families as it helps to take the mother to her pre-pregnancy weight and lessen financial pressure for families.

The gruesome incident reportedly occurred at Dabaa, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region on Sunday, August 1, 2021.

The deceased is said to have served notice of her intention to leave the husband due to physical abuse and unfair treatment being meted out to her.

However, the man, who was not pleased with her decision on several occasions, according to the family, threatened to kill his wife.

The teenager amid tears told Nhyira FM‘s Nana Awuku that all her efforts to stop her father proved futile.

She said the suspect angrily stormed the house and chased his wife around and eventually pushed her to the ground.

He then shot the woman in her ribs and chest, leading to her death.

“I begged him to stop but he refused so I had to run for my life over fears of being shot too because he was very angry.

“I wanted to save my mother but I couldn’t and I wish my uncles were around to save her,” she narrated amid tears.

The four children of the couple are currently with family members at Asuofia with the man also in Police custody.
