Vydia was acquired by music and technology company, gamma, owned by former Apple Music Executive, Larry Jackson.

Speaking on the acquisition, Jackson said, “gamma is built with the flexibility and aptitude that creators need to connect with fans on all formats and across all channels – with transparency and no restriction.

“We are a progressive media company powered by the best-in-class content distribution and analytics software by way of our Vydia acquisition, and central to its core, gamma is an ideas company.”

Vydia, the digital audio and video distribution infrastructure company, has previously worked with artistes like Akon, Kanye West, Mr Eazi, and Anuel.

Since the launch of Zagadat Capital in 2021, the company has invested in tech companies such as remittance-based lending company, Paisa; Eden Life; African fintech, Pawapay; and most recently, South Africa basketball team, CapeTown Tigers.

Some of the first investments of the venture capital fund were targeted at music technology companies like creative finance/IP company, emPawa (his company); Ticketing platform – SHOOBS; and American music distribution platform, Vydia, whose service emPawa used before financial investments in the platform.

They looked gorgeous to the brim with their lovely traditional outfits that sparkled the show with beauty beyond measures.

The show began with the host Sandra Ababio looking dapper in her pinky-laced traditional wear. Her curves could not be overlooked as she donned the dress made by @maxlegend_wears.

Designer KBaw’s outfit was the first to be outdoored on the show, and his model for the week in play was kumawood actor and Big Talent season 1 contestant, Tapoli.

The second person to outdoor her dress was Martha as she rocks the runway for designer Portia.

The Big Talent show contestant Bie Gya took to the runway for designer Richie in week 8.

Joe Shortingo followed up with his lovely outfit designed by Grace. The judges paid him a compliment for his confidence in outlook.

Meanwhile, Nana Yaw appeared on the runway with a lovely blue coat on a branded jacket. He modelled for Prince.

The Big Talent show finalist, Size Two, modelled for designer Emma. The judges were impressed by his looks and vim on the runway.

Ghanaian actress Adwoa Smart had a beautiful gown sketched by Godwin and designed by Ahmed, who took the best designer in week 7.

Meanwhile, the Week 8 show climaxed with an eviction. Designer Richmond Arthur couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

“Chelsea Football Club can confirm that a final and definitive agreement was entered into last night to sell the club to the Todd Boehly/Clearlake Capital consortium,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“It is expected that the transaction will be completed on Monday. The club will update further at that time.”

The deal will end 19 years of ownership under Roman Abramovich.

The Russian oligarch was sanctioned following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, because of his links with president Vladimir Putin.

The Kremlin’s decision to enter into a war with its neighbour ultimately meant Abramovich needed to sell the club to keep it alive – but only if he would not profit from it.

Chelsea have been operating under a special licence which kept the club running, but with big limitations.

According to the former musician, this will help boost tourism in the country. He said the idea is good and must be encouraged.

“The idea to bring the animals here and groom them here is a good idea because we are talking about tourism, it is a very good idea just that the neighbors are not used to such things.”

“I will urge him to bring more into the country,” he added.

Already, the businessman has said he brought the animals to help boost Ghana’s tourism.

According to him, he went through the right process in bringing the animals into the country.

“First of all, it is right; I have two tigers that I bought on a bid between Ghana and Dubai. I was the representative from the private sector that initiated my interest in purchasing these two animals. But we did go through the process; the animals are seven months old, still at the very young stage.”

On Thursday, there were reports of some residents expressing concerns over the presence of the animals in the neighbourhood.

According to them, the presence of the animals makes them feel unsafe.

They also insisted attempts to get the owner or the management of the facility to evacuate the tigers proved futile.

Although these claims have been refuted by the owner, the Police subsequently charged the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission to remove the animals to an appropriate facility on Friday, May 20.

However, the Wildlife Division, upon visiting the estate and conducting preliminary investigations, the Division concluded that the two tigers are well protected. 

The rapper, who has made it a norm to keep his family private, has gone against his status quo on the special occasion of his mother’s birthday.

When he was asked what his reaction was after chancing on Ras Kuuku’s statement, Joe Mettle said he laughed.

When I saw it I laughed. If he was also nominated they would do the same thing. No matter who happens to be there… there are times that people don’t deserve to be in a category every year. I dont think this is new in terms of how people feel.

Additionally, the Bo Noo Ni hitmaker said he has grown a tough skin for negative critics, hence critics against his Artiste of the Year nomination don’t get to him.

I guess it comes with the work. Everyone will not be happy with you. Whether you win or lose, people will have their issues. if you are worried about people, it can take too much energy out of you so life goes on.

After an intensive competition between 13 contestants, Faith Power was adjudged winner at the grand finale with a winning package of GH₵ 15,000 coupled with a trip to Dubai.

The 1^st runner-up, Nana Yaw, won GH₵ 8,000; the 2^nd runner-up Tapoli won GH₵ 5,000 leaving the 3^rd runner-up C-Nortey with GH₵ 3,000.

Additionally, the 5th and 6th positions went to Size Two and Shatta Wifi accordingly.

Meanwhile, contestants, who got evicted along the weeks, showed up to support their colleagues and they were equally given price packages for making the show a success.

The night saw die-hard performances from all the contestants as they all looked poised to win the hearts of judges Adwoa Smart, Clemento Suarez and Akumaa Mama Zimba, in order to attain the ultimate crown.

Faith Power’s acrobatic and balancing performances got him to retain his number one spot.

His dramatic gestures such as balancing 12 wine glasses on a knife tucked in his mouth among others wowed the crowd effortlessly.

Nana Yaw won the hearts of many with his rich cultural display. The playing of the talking drum and the significance of the cultural dance even got some of the fans at Fadama throwing money at him on the podium.

The chiefs present at the show, who were equally mesmerized by his act, gave him a standing ovation to depict the love they had for this cultural display.  

At a point judge Clemento Suarez joined him to dance.

C-Nortey, Tapoli, Size Two and Shatta Wifi proved their talents respectively with greater ambitions to go for the ultimate spot.

Rappers Guru and Kofi Mole gave out electrifying performances to climax the talent-hunt show in grand style.

The talented contestants competing for the ultimate crown are Tapoli, Faith Power, Size Two, Nana Yaw, Cee Nortey and Shatta Wifi.

These contestants were able to garner enough votes both from the judges and fans to propel them to the final stage where the ultimate winner and runners-up will be adjudged.

Rappers Guru and Kofi Mole are equally set to thrill fans who will mark it on their calendar to be present at the Fadama Park on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wifi opened up the competition during last week’s performance ahead of the grand finale. He performed Kuami Eugene’s Open Gate that won him massive props from the judges.

Size Two came through as an MC pivoting a wedding ceremony. His energy was high but it didn’t win the hearts of judges, especially Clemento Suarez.

Faith Power electrified the fans with his usual acrobatic gestures but this time, he took it to a whole new level. Playing with fire and spinning pans to amuse the crowd was an exceptional one for the flexible contestant Faith Power.

Tapoli took the role of a linguist who chanced on a secret relationship of his king and his underage girlfriend.

The contestant was evicted after he failed to impress judges in addition to his failure to garner enough votes that were supposed to push him up the ladder in the competition.

The host, Joe Shortingo, announced this at the end of the competition in Week 12.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wifi opened up the curtain with an energetic performance where he sang Samini’s Odo hit song. After impressing judges with the low-tempo intro, Shatta Wifi invited his ardent fans to the podium to dance with her. The performance was climaxed with Samini’s Linda song.

This week being a freestyle week got Nana Yaw into his traditional regalia where he performed cultural dances to the tune of traditional drums. With his Ghana flag up in high esteem, Nana Yaw entertained fans to the core, with the sole objective of remaining in the competition till the end.

Faith Power took advantage of the freestyle week to display his acrobatic talent. He started with the flipping hat magic before he displayed his skills when it comes to balancing on a beam. Judges weren’t able to sit still during his performance.

Cee Nortey continues to prove that he is a dance lover and his creative side cannot be overlooked since the inception of the show. Judges lauded him for always being different as he told a story through his choreography.

Size Two keeps soaring and judges urged him to do better. This week, he performed a mini-drama show where he urged ladies to learn how to cook if they are looking for relationships that will stand the test of time.

The grand finale of the show is drawing closer and it’s left with six contestants to battle their way out.

Meanwhile, in Week 9, Short Prophet opened up the show with Ada Ehi’s See What the Lord Has Done for Me song. It did the magic for him as the judges were thrown into a blissful mood.

Tapoli did a short skit to depict the fast life in Nigeria. Though he was commended for the skit, judge Clemento Suarez urged him to put in his best as the grand finale inches closer.

Nana Yaw took on a cultural dance from Guinea. He was lauded for his creativity and how he synced his art during the show.

C-Nortey performed a native Abidjan performance. This contestant has been full of surprises right from the onset of the Big Talent Show.

Contestant Size Two played drama this week. He was on the neck of his dad begging him for his school fees. Meanwhile, his dad was also ready to spend on prostitutes rather. Size Two had to find his own way to get the money from his father.

Shatta Wifi performed Lucky Dube’s song in grand style and he was equally praised for his artistic side.

Faith Power surprised the judges with his adrenaline-pumped performance. Balancing himself on a roller to eating fire sticks, Faith Power received a standing ovation from the audience.

With Week 7, Nana Yaw opened up the show with a beautiful Salsa dance after he nearly got evicted in the previous week. He impressed the audience and judge Clemento Suarez commended him well enough for his creative performance.

Short Prophet performed reggae legend Bob Marley’s Who The Cap Fit song. He was on top of his game and rocked the patrons with the popular Jamaican genre.

Tapoli did comedy for Week 7 of The Big Talent Show competition. Judges lauded him for his endeavour to discourage Ghanaians from patronising drugs in a comic way.

Shatta Wifi

Shatta Wifi stepped onto the stage with a different energy. Perhaps, he invested much in his looks this week which got him marks from the judges. Performing Bob Marley’s Redemption Song, Shatta Wifi looked more prepared.

Faith Power

Always proving to be a man of many talents, Faith Power decided to sing and play a piano over the weekend. He did by singing Jamaica Farewell by Harry Belafonte. Judges were highly impressed with his versatility.

C-Nortey

C-Nortey has been building on top of his performances ever since the competition began. It was a military affair when she stepped onto the podium with three counterparts ready for the dancing showdown.

Bie Gya

Bie Gya took to dance Salsa for the second time on the show. Unlike the first one which was a hot one, this week’s performance had a slow groove theme, which propelled her further into the competition.

The three have entertained fans to the core since the inception of the entertainment programme but fate and luck eluded them as their votes were not enough to propel them forward.

Meanwhile, last Sunday, fans witnessed performances from most of the contestants who were determined to avoid eviction.

Short Prophet opened up the show this week with a gospel performance. His rendition of traditional gospel songs from the Volta Region got people dancing and rejoicing.  His stagecraft and energetic performance wowed the judges. He was also lauded for his costume.

Nana Yaw did a native cultural dance from the Northern Region of Ghana dubbed Tigari. The judges loved his performance and urged him to be versatile.

Shatta Wifi imitated King Ayisoba by performing his I want To See My Father song that shot him to fame. Shatta Wifi showed his seriousness by further playing the kologo, a traditional Ghanaian instrument.

Bie Gya took to acting this week. She played an old ‘Fante’ lady who intercepted a conversation between two people trying to cook up a date.

C-Nortey tightened the championship gap with his creative dancing drama. It worked for him last week and this time around he played a doctor who had a Covid-19 patient brought to him for treatment. What triggered the audience and judges were the size of his syringes – too huge.

Paul Gee didn’t really impress the judges and he was urged to up his creative game. His Covid-19 play didn’t go well as his facts were contrary to what Coronavirus is about.

Fred changed his style this week by emulating a warrior in the Ashanti Kingdom but it wasn’t much to intrigue the judges.

Size Two was lauded for his fake prophet performance but Judge Clemento Suarez wasn’t impressed with the content. He praised him for his stagecraft but insisted it wasn’t enough to generate a compelling showdown.

Martha performed Adani Best’s Maafio hit song where she spiced it up with a background performance. It took her through the eviction stage regardless.

Faith Power has since been one of the promising fans in The Big Talent Show. His acrobatic moves keep surprising the judges and those who support him. Akumaa Mama Zimba opened up on how he fascinates her with her unpredicted performances.

King Solomon took the show to Volta Region with his traditional Agbadza dance. Agbadza is an Ewe music and dance that evolved from the times of war into a very popular recreational dance.

Kumawood actor Tapoli was a carpenter this week. His attempt to sell a coffin with an air-conditioner to a Muslim man proved futile.

Ankaa Baako took on instrumentals of defunct music group Akyeame’s Mesa Aba song and laid it down with his own lyrics. It saved him from being evicted.

According to him, he used to work in a rubber stamp company at Accra New Town, where he was promoted to managerial position, when his former boss died.

He explained that, none of the belongings of his boss was carried away by his family members after his demise, until a team from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) stormed their office in New Town to carry out an investigation.

Short Prophet said he had no idea his boss was into forgery, where he copied official stamps of some companies in Ghana, hence he was carried away after the EOCO unit broke into his former boss’ drawer.

Speaking in an interview with Reverend Kwamena Idan, Short Prophet said he felt pained when he was sentenced because he couldn’t afford a good lawyer to defend him in court.

Little did they know the eviction process has been shifted to next week but it was worth it because of the sparkling performances that got judges almost out of their seats.

Shatta Wifi, the first contestant for the night, rolled up the curtain performing a hit song from Backstreet Boys dubbed As Long As You Love Me. His singing and rapping were atop a slow-groove gesture that got many nodding their heads in appreciation.

Bie Gya took on the salsa wave. She literally took the audience to Mexico with her amazing performance. The judges commended her for being different and creative.

Church Heathen by Jamaican music star Shaggy was the song contestant Fred chose to perform this week. He gave off his religious dance moves but judges urged him to open up his creative book the more.

Martha rocked patrons with some reggae-infused gospel songs. Her performance was good and judged well.

Tapoli keeps showing how talented he is with how dynamic his performances are. His amateurish magic tricks amazed viewers that watched on as he causes a missing lemon to appear from one of the bags in the crowd. As a magician for the night, the judges yearned for more from him.

C-Nortey got creative with his dancing-teacher status. In his classroom this week, all the students danced with him even as he whipped them.

He played on the song Calling You by Aqua. His creativity was rated top-notch by judges. C-Nortey was lauded for his performance – which preached on the need to send children to school.

Size Two took the turn of a pompous deportee who was faking his life by smoking cigarette in a public space. It took a police encounter to stop Size Two from keeping up with his unhealthy and fake lifestyle.

Contestant King Solomon tagged himself the Junior Michael Jackson. His attempt to imitate the late music legend didn’t really impress two of the judges.

The adrenaline-packed performance will continue to linger in the memories of fans who watched Faith Power on the Big Talent Show last weekend. Everyone was amused at how he could arrange fragile objects on a knife while holding it up with his bare teeth.

Judges couldn’t hold back in their chairs when he pulled up a chair for the same stunt.

Nana Yaw was the third dancer for the night. He displayed some old school dance moves to carry on in the talent reality show.

Paul Gee didn’t do commentary this time so he opted for drama. He fell victim after wooing a woman only to find out later she was blind.

Ankaa Bako performed his own song and judges urged him on well. He was applauded for his appropriate costume and ability to lead the audience to sing along with him.

Short Prophet was the Rastafarian for the night. He proved his music prowess by shifting from his usual gospel genre to performing reggae tunes. His ‘fake’ dreadlocks synched well with his show.

This week, comedian Clemento Suarez joined judges Adwoa Smart and Akumaa Mama Zimbi to decide on the fates of performances of the various competitors.

Meanwhile, eviction is up this weekend, hence any of the contestants with the least votes will have to be marched out of the competition.

To commence the performance this week was Short Prophet. As his moniker suggests, he opened up the show not with prayer but his powerful voice and sang one of Sonnie Badu’s song. The contestant, prior to the reality show, won the heart of many including Sonnie Badu himself.

Contestant Fred followed up as usual with his fast dancing parade. The judges, wowed by his moves, gave him a solid round of applause after he climaxed the performance. Akumaa Mama Zimbi lauded him for his choice of song but the other judges advised him against his wardrobe.

Size Two keeps impressing patrons with his acting prowess as he mimics Joseph, the father of Jesus Christ and the husband of the Virgin Mary. He staged his craft with a conversation with the Holy Spirit.

Bie Gya, in this week’s edition, decided to be a cleaner who loves to dance. Wearing her cleaning apparel, she exhibited wild moves to keep her in the tight competition.

C-Nortey followed up to the podium with a plastic chair. Fans were skeptical about it until they realised it formed part of the dancing process.

Martha proved her talent by singing Kuami Eugene’s Wish Me Well song. Indeed, she was flawless giving no hint of performance anxiety.

The commentary “King”, contestant Paul Gee gave a comic commentary to amuse patrons.

Clad in his singlet and shorts, King Solomon didn’t come to play. Performing like none other, the contestant performed well but judges urged him to focus on the audiences.

Faith Power showed that he is a man of many talents in the second week of the Big Talent Competition. Unlike last week where he did some acrobatic moves, this week, he came in with an organ to show his music side too.

Contestant Nana Yaw showed his warrior ambition by fusing it with his performance. Clad in a traditional outfit he amused the audiences with his war-like gestures – holding a spear and shield.

Shatta Wifi brought Kuami Eugene into the auditorium as he performs his song with Kwame Yogot dubbed Biibi Besi. His energetic performance formed part of those who did well on the night.

Ankaa Baako did a cover of R2Bee’s ‘Makoma’ song but he changed the lyrics to suit his style. The slow-groove highlife tune got many patrons rocking their heads in awe about the performance.

Tapoli climaxed the week 2 in style. His live comedy skits got many laughing when he presented himself as a “quack” doctor making sales in a bus.

The show, hosted by Joe Shortingo, garnered numbers and attention on social media due to its uniqueness fused with style, and Adom TV was lauded for being number one when it comes to entertainment.

The judges, Lionel Lawson, actress Adwoa Smart and Adom TV‘s ‘Odo Ahomaso’ host, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, were elated to have witnessed such beautiful performances on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Paul Gee didn’t come to dance as many expected. He showcased his talent by giving a commentary on an imaginary football match between giant teams, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, top teams in Spain.

Contestant Martha took the crowd to church with her back-to-back rendition of popular gospel songs. Her vim and microphone control among other gimmicks made her a favourite to some of the patrons.

The second dancer to mount the stage on the night was contestant King Solomon. The applause that met the climax of his performance proved he had a future in The Big Talent Show competition.

Contestant Bennet aka Shatta Wi-Fi took on Kuami Eugene’s Confusion song to showcase his angelic voice. Interestingly, to compliment his performance, he invited a beautiful lady to the stage and sang to her to the amazement of the crowd.

Fred was the third contest on the night to choose dancing as a means to go further in the reality competition. His steps and gestures were quite distinctive compared to dancers who had mounted the podium before him.

Contestant Size Two took a different turn with his acting prowess. His conversation as a police officer with a citizen in trouble over a telephone call got many amused. The judges commended him for his uniqueness.

Short Prophet gained enough prominence prior to the show when his audition video went viral. This week, he didn’t disappoint as he performed Bessa Simons’ ‘Belempe’ song that gained traction circa 1994.

Contestant Nana Yaw showcased his ‘Fume Fume’ traditional dance skills clad in a native outfit of a fetish priest. His act seemed unusual compared to the rest. Meanwhile, ‘Fume Fume’ is a social dance that originates from the Ga Adangbe people of Ghana.

It’s no doubt that contestant Bernice aka Bie Gya is a great dancer judging from her solid performance during the maiden edition of the talent show. The judges couldn’t stop their heads from nodding as she wows the crowd with her amazing dance skills.

Kumawood actor Tapoli proved his comedy talent by imitating a boxer ready to fight an opponent bigger than himself. His turn got many patrons laughing on top of their voices.

Contestant Ankaa Baako took to the stage to perform Kuami Eugene’s song… His style and stagecraft were exceptional as he depicted himself to be the king of music.

The one to climax the maiden edition of the Big Talent Show was Power. He decided to show his acrobatic nature which eventually amused many on the show. Many of the contestants were dancers but Power was different.

It was obvious the contestant was poised to showcase her talent when she schooled Tima Kumkum on the latest moves when it comes to dancing in Ghana.

According to Bie Gya, she believes dancing is the talent God gave her, adding that, she cannot wait to showcase it to the world.

The maiden edition of the talent show will be telecast live on Adom TV, hence patrons will have the opportunity to watch it from their various homes.

Viewers are expected to tune in at 8:30 pm every Sunday for the next 13 weeks to make their Sunday evening a special one.

According to the ‘little’ man, who is poised to showcase his talent, he is willing to have five children in life after his beautiful wedding ceremony.

Talking about his aspirations in life, Cee Nortey said Adom TV has given him enough mileage that he will soon open his dance group.

I am 24 years… I don’t get angry easily and I am truthful. I want to open my own job and I want to open a dancing group. I want to help people.

I have my own family… I would love to have five children, two girls and three boys. I will bring on a new dance this Sunday.

If you are like me come forward and showcase your talent. We are talking about the future, he said.

Viewers can watch in their respective homes on the number one channel, Adom TV as the talent show will be telecast live at 8:30 pm.

The Big Talent show is a 90-minute weekly performance that will run consecutively for a period of 13 weeks on Sunday evenings on Adom TV.

The first episode will take the form of a mini-launch to introduce the contestants officially to viewers and also to allow stakeholders and sponsors to share a word.

According to him, the show, though is yet-to-be-aired, has given him mileage beyond his imagination.

In an interview, he said lots of people have been reaching out to him through his series on YouTube but appearing on Adom TV has amplified the effect.

The show has helped me and people should expect more from me. I used to be popular on YouTube but now I am catching up with the traditional mileage from Adom TV. I have varieties of talents to showcase so viewers should expect more, he said.

According to Tapoli, though people know him for his comic roles in movies, he can equally rap among other talents he is going to exhibit on the show.

According to the contestant, he has been praying to God for such a long period to have the platform to exhibit his talent, hence he will never downplay his role after he passed the audition.

In an interview with Adom TV, Fit Power said he noticed he had numerous talents and mentioned acrobatics as one of his gifts.

He said he hails from Chorkor and believes his fans will do all they can to see him through the competition.

I started from my childhood. It’s been a long time I started doing acrobatics and everywhere I go, I try to be different… I know this show will take me far… I have been expecting this opportunity for a long time, he said.

Mr Okyere says he is grateful for the ‘show’ because he has started receiving phone calls that will go a long way to build his gospel music career.

In an interview with Adom TV, Short Prophet said he would love to collaborate with any gospel musician who is interested in a feature since he has the talent.

On his gospel music idols, Short Prophet said he is a number-one fan of gospel musician Sonnie Badu hence it would be an honour to work with him.

Presently, Short Prophet said he is poised and focused on winning the talent show hence he wouldn’t allow distractions to put him off.

The big talent show will change aspects of our lives… We have some talents but people don’t know so we keep ourselves away. I know it will give us the mileage… Those who don’t want to join should change their minds soon. They should be motivated enough…

There is so much pressure because people are celebrating me before the show. I am getting many phone calls. And now, I have to focus on what I am doing…, he said.
