The suspects, Abena Benewa, 22, and Bright Ashiao, 26, reportedly delivered the baby at home. However, residents became suspicious after noticing the baby had not been seen for several days.

Their suspicions deepened when the lifeless body of the baby boy was discovered in a refuse dump in the community with the head and left hand missing. The discovery prompted a police investigation, leading to the arrest of the couple.

An eyewitness, Agyeman Otabil, said that when the father was confronted, he claimed the baby had died and that they had buried the body in the refuse dump. However, Otabil indicated that the father’s statements during interrogation did not match what he had initially told residents.

Prince Larbie, the Assemblyman for the Bontrase Electoral Area, confirmed the arrest of the couple.

Chief Superintendent Edmond Nyamekye, the Awutu Bereku District Police Commander, stated that the suspects are currently in police custody. He added that police suspect the father may have used the baby for ritual purposes as investigations continue.

The suspect, identified as Augustine Marimo, allegedly targeted undergarments hung out to dry on washing lines and left in communal bathing areas.

His actions were exposed during a traditional court session where several victims were summoned to testify before the community.

One of the women, who requested anonymity, said she initially attended the hearing out of curiosity to verify circulating rumours. However, she was left stunned when she recognised a pair of panties that once belonged to her late sister — an emotionally significant item she hadn’t realised was missing.

The thought that it had been used in a sex ritual was described as “sickening.”

According to the woman, Marimo did not deny the accusations. Instead, he reportedly gave an unnerving account of how he used the stolen underwear. He allegedly confessed to placing the panties on his bed, masturbating on them, and imagining himself having sex with the women they belonged to. He described the experiences as vividly real, despite the complete absence of consent or awareness from the women involved.

The same woman revealed that her marriage had begun to deteriorate around the time her underwear disappeared. She described how intimacy with her husband ceased nearly two years ago. Although he initially showed concern, their relationship had since grown distant and emotionally cold.

Further disturbing revelations emerged when Marimo reportedly claimed he was driven by a mysterious spiritual voice urging him to steal the panties and perform the rituals. He allegedly told the court that the voice warned him not to reveal its origin, threatening severe consequences if he disobeyed.

Several fetish priestesses have stormed Gomoa Okyereko to perform final rituals in River Ayensu to pave way for the construction of the bridge on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway in the Central region.

The rituals on Tuesday brought together several priestesses in the Gomoa East District.

They slaughtered cows, fowls, and poured libation amidst incantations to appease the gods.

This was after the river overflown its banks and blocked the Kasoa-Winneba Highway a few days ago.

The contractor, who is working on the road, blocked the main bridge to construct a modern bridge that can accommodate the volume of water.

But the river unexpectedly flooded the community wrecking havoc in the area.

The chiefs in the area said the river god is angry because the contractor failed to consult it  before blocking its path.

It is believed that after Tuesday’s ritual, the contractor can go about his work peacefully without any further havoc.

The trio, believed to be between the ages of 19 and 25, hopped out a Honda Civic car to return the snake to the ritualist for failing to vomit money in 30 days as directed.

Information gathered indicates that the boys confessed to have been given the snake at the same spot they abandoned it with the explanation that it did not produce any money despite the sacrifices they made.

They are reported to have said the ritualist ordered them to feed the snake with eggs and other items and in turn it will vomit money in different currencies. However, after the 30 days had lapsed, there was still no show.

The sight attracted residents to the spot as the culprits managed to escape.

Meanwhile, a man purported to be the ritualist has retrieved the box containing the money-vomiting snake.

The police were called unto the scene but both boys and the ritualists were nowhere to be found.

The district police have launched a manhunt as investigations commence.

The Nananom, led by Adrobaahene, Nana Odiasempa Boadu and Nana Adwoa Dum II, the Queenmother in the area, made an offering to the deity to avert any similar calamity from befalling them in the future.

They marched around the community reciting incantations amid pouring of libations.

Adrobaahene Kyeame, Nana Kwame Nkrumah, who spoke to Kojo Mframa, explained the reason is to seek peaceful rest for the souls of the departed pupils.

According to him, the people of Adrobaa uphold traditional values, adding it has even become necessary as the incident is the first to be witnessed in the community.

Five pupils and a driver lost their lives in a ghastly accident on the Techire-Adrobaa stretch when the school bus transporting about 25 pupils somersaulted.

Three pupils between the ages of four and 12 died on the spot, and two more died in the subsequent days.

They were laid to rest in a solemn ceremony on November 17, 2022.

The Zimbabwean pastor revealed after he has intimate encounter with a woman, he wipes her private part with a white towel which he would later take to the sea to appease a mermaid.

In an interview, he confessed that his action is the cause of multiple miscarriages his victims have experienced in recent years.

He said:

Mostly all the women I have slept with… there is only one normal routine that I have always done with all of them, I always kept a white towel and after the intercourse I always use the towel to wipe their private parts and then I always keep the towel. I have done this to most of them and it was part of the ritual. After some time I gather my towels and then take them to the river or the  sea where I throw them as a sacrifice giving back to the mermaid. I think I would have a couple of miscarriages with a couple of women and I would love to believe that those unborn babies were also sacrifices.

His confession is coming days after he revealed he is a member of a secret cult for pastors, and he is empowered by deities.

 The ritual was performed on Sunday, July 24, 2022, in commemoration of the late former President Atta Mills, 10 years after his death.

Mr Anyidoho, an aide to the late Statesman, took to his Twitter page to share photos from the ceremony.

It captured leaves, a bottle of gin and a feather-like artefact on a bust-monument erected in Prof. Mills’ honour.

He described the ritual as stinking, claiming it was carried out because his former boss’ brother, Samuel Mills talked about it.

He went on to pray for forgiveness for the persons who carried out the ritual, stating that Mr Mills was a Christian and did not believe in it.

Mr Anyidoho and Mr Mills have been in the news for the past week following allegations that the former desecrated the former President’s tomb.

Mr Mills alleged that the government had allowed the Atta Mills Institute to tamper with his late brother’s grave which was against their custom.

But President Nana Akufo-Addo, speaking at the commissioning of the rehabilitated Asomdwee Park on Sunday, described the claims as false and unfortunate.

He said investigations have been carried out and it showed that the suspect was mentally deranged.

He noted that the findings indicate that the accused was sent on an errand to deliver the contents (two tubers of yam and a pack of diapers) in his bag.

He assured them that the security operatives would dig deeper into the incident to unravel details of what really happened.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the suspects were arrested at about 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday following a distress call.

Oyeyemi noted that the three suspects; Sunday Aregbede, Salisu Mamud and Bosere Rasaq, were arrested while exhuming the corpse of one late Segun Taiwo, which was buried six months ago.

“Upon the information, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ilupeju Division, SP Mustapha Opawoye, quickly led his men to the scene where the suspects were apprehended with the help of members of the community with already exhumed corpse.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects exhumed the corpse in order to use part of it for money making ritual,” he said.

Oyeyemi said the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation with the view to charge the suspects to court as soon as possible. 

The suspect is said to be the Founder and Leader of Wise Chapel International at Asebu in the Abura Asebu Kwamakese District of the Central Region.

He was arrested by the Yamoansah Police.

Information gathered by Adom News‘ Kofi Adjei suggests the suspect lured his victims aged between 16 and 21 to hotel rooms in the name of deliverance over claims that they are being tormented by evil spirits in their family.

Assembly Member for Asebu Amantendo Electoral Area, Richard Mbea, narrating the incident, disclosed his SHS nephew happens to be one of the victims.

According to Mr Mbea, prophet Davidson, upon arrival at the hotel, strip the suspects naked and amid chants lit candles of different colours.

He continues with oral sex and sucks the penis of the victims and uses a white cloth to absorb the sperms.

The suspect then threatens to kill his victims if they uttered a word to anyone but his nephew could not keep mute any longer after he started urinating blood.

Making his appearance, the court presided over by her worship Bernice Mensimah Ackon charged prophet Davidson with indecent assault contrary to section 103(2) of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29)

He has however been granted court bail with two sureties and is expected to reappear on 19th October 2021.

Mr Mbea, after the court proceeding, disclosed several teenagers have lodged similar complaints against the suspect with the police, hence, they will compile the list and make it available during the next hearing.

It was gathered that the suspect was caught attempting to behead the victim along SETRACO Road, Amassoma/Ogobiri axis of the state on Tuesday morning, September 21.

The girl, said to be a student of the Niger Delta University Wilberforce Island (NDU) was fortunately rescued by youth of Ogobiri community and police operatives.

According to a post by Kokobaiye Abeki, the Special Adviser to Governor Diri on New Media, the suspect who has been dating the girl, lured her to Setraco Road along Ogobiri-Toruebeni drive.

Tribune reports that the suspect had used money to lure the victim, a student of the Niger Delta University (NDU), into dating him for about a month, before he tricked her to follow him to the isolated area where he tied her hands and legs with ropes and tried to cut her neck with a knife.

It is said that he began the process but some youth who traced his earlier movement through a revelation from a nearby person caught him together with the efforts of the men of the Operation Doo-Akpo NPF special squad.

The suspect has since been handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation.

According to the residents, the incident happened late Sunday night, after a drumming competition among a section of residents following the burial of one of their own.

Unit Committee Chairman, Amos Alorse, said the sound of screaming drew their attention to the area.

Upon questioning, the suspect allegedly confessed to being sent by one prophetess, Floda Ekpe, to provide her with a human head for some rituals.

The suspect reportedly took the head of the 12-year-old to the prophetess, while dumping the rest of the body in a nearby waterbody.

Anxious residents traced the blood trails from the human head to the prayer camp of the prophetess and broke into the structure, where the suspect and the human head were found.

The police are currently looking into the matter, while the 25-year-old remains in custody.

This follows the demise of over 28 people in three weeks in separate accidents. One that gained attention was the Mile 40 accident.

The pacification of the ancestors was held at the accident scene at Mile 40, where 18 lives, including children, were lost.

The chief priest of Mankpang, Asasewura Jimah Lipode, during the pacification slaughtered a white goat and fowls of different colours to the ancestors to seek protection.

Asasewura Jimah Lipode rattled some incantations in Gonja which translated into “any devil or spirit that is on this particular road causing accident on Mankpang land should leave the area in peace.”

All fowls that were sent for pacification at the accident scene were accepted by the ancestors as they all fell face up, a significant indication of the ritual.

The Paramount chief of Mankpang traditional area, Mankpangwura Jakpa Achor Ade Borenyi I, addressing the media, said society is very complex and every life is important and must be protected, hence the pacification.

The chief appealed to the Savannah Regional Highway Director, Paul Duah, to provide at least three speed ramps as a scientific approach while the chiefs take over the ancestral realm.

The victim was later rushed to the hospital where a Doctor confirmed that her private part has been cut off with a sharp object.

However, the shaken lady, when given the least pressure, cracked, confessing they contacted the priest for money rituals.

She confessed that she is an unemployed graduate, and she and her husband were in financial constraint, hence their decision for money rituals.

A 35-year–old resident of Gomoa Akraman in the Gomoa East District of the Central region, who witnessed the murder of the Akraman Gyaasehene, has revealed that rituals were performed before his murder.

According to him, he saw a number of people he believed to be fetish priests around the premises of Nana Ahor Agyiri, popularly known as Osebo, before his death.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, the witness said the group came to the scene of the incident with fowls for the rituals.

“I saw the group members who were clad in red and not wearing slippers while the leader performed rituals in the Ponpon River which is in front of the Gyaasehene’s house,” he narrated.

“They chanted songs and were ringing bells when suddenly they stormed the compound of the chief,” he added.

The Gyaasehene of Gomoa Akraman, Nana Ahor Agyiri, was killed on Monday in broad daylight in his house by a group of unidentified men.

The police are yet to make any arrest.

The woman was alleged to have approached a man by name lion;a neighbor in their June 14 neighborhood at Kantanmanto–to take her to a spiritualist to help her boost her business.

She is alleged to have used her neighbor’s son as a sacrifice for the ritual.

Kokro,a dog meat seller,who use to sell one dog a day, now sells over fifthy (50) dogs per day to Police inspectors,Soldiers and other affluent people after allegedly using her neighbor’s son for the ritual.

Reacting to the allegation,Kokro, who hails from Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region explained to Otwinoko;host of “Nyasem Hwe’ educative program on Accra-based Hot 93.9Fm that, she has never used anyone for rituals to boost her business .

According to her, she has been in the dog business for years without any blemish and as such there is no reason for her to go for spiritual assistance to boost her business.

Kokro,who has however been accused of acquiring properties as a result of the ritual–swore to Otwinoko that she has never gone to any spiritualist with anyone and is willing to go to any extent to prove her innocence.

The case is currently under investigation at the rail way Police station in Accra
