Recall Omah Lay had sparked controversies on social media after footage of him dancing with a female fan on stage spread online.

The duo danced to his song “Bend You,” with the female fan allegedly abandoning his boyfriend in the stands to go on stage and dance seductively with the singer.

In a video, the singer was urged to shout out to the fan, who was identified as Fafa.

The singer obliged.

“Give Fafa a shoutout, that’s your fan.”

Omah Lay responded: “Fafa, that’s her name? Fafa, I love you.”

Omah Lay, in an interview in 2023, revealed that he hasn’t experienced love in a relationship.

The ‘Soso’ crooner stated this in an interview with H Steph.

Omah Lay stated that only his family has shown him love unconditionally.

He stressed that, love in relationships is just a charade to survive. 

He said, “What is love? That’s one that I have been searching for. I feel like I haven’t experienced love.

“Apart from my family; my mum, my brothers, people I have been with since I was kid that really love me. There’s this unconditional love, they just love you for whatever. I feel like you can only get that from your mum.

“But love in relationships, I don’t know bro because it feels like everybody loves you to survive.”

“Police say a man in the hoodie and another man off camera showed their guns and started shooting at each other.

“Officers say Ntim was struck in the head by a stray bullet. She was brought to the hospital where she later died,” the report added.

Other details indicated that, “Sally Ntim, 23, was sitting in the passenger seat of a car at the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and McClellan street in the Concourse neighborhood around 8:40 p.m. when two men displayed guns and fired at each other multiple times,” a New York Post report added.

A vigil for Sally Ntim is also said to have been held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

The 31-year-old Dorcas Jepkemoi Chumba drowned when she fell into a dam at Chepkiit Waterfalls in Nandi County, Kenya, on Sunday, August 30.

Her fiancé, Benjamin Kazungu had been using her phone to take pictures of her when the tragedy occurred and she was immediately swept away by raging waters before he could save her.

Kazungu said that he had taken his girlfriend out for a picnic at the famous falls to enjoy the breathtaking sight of the waterfall.

He said that they had longed to hang out at the place as they both loved adventure but he did not know that it would be the last time he would ever see his girlfriend.

He recounted how he was taking photos of his fiancé unaware that the photos would be the last memory he would have of his fiancé.

He narrated how wonderful it was watching her pose with excitement for the pictures before she accidentally slipped into the flooded dam, disappearing into the waters as he tried unsuccessfully to save her.

“I encountered the worst scene of my life. Seeing her sinking helplessly into the water and my effort proving futile breaks my heart even more,” said Kazungu.

The family of the deceased has been camping at the falls since the sad incident with the hope of retrieving the body. Efforts by local divers to retrieve Jepkemoi’s body have been unsuccessful.

 “We have been camping here since Sunday, local divers have been trying, but they are yet to get the body out,” said Jepkemoi’s brother Victor Kiptoo.

Kiptoo said his sister was jovial on the fateful day before her death.

He appealed to county governments of Uasin Gishu and Nandi together with the national government to help the family of nine children to retrieve the body of their sister.

“Painful as it is, it has happened, and we accept it, what we are requesting is help to retrieve the body for burial,” said Kiptoo.

Surprisingly, Miss Folarin did not show remorse for her action. She said: “I killed my baby and reported myself to the police. I filled a bucket with water, dipped her inside and held her head until she died.

“I did it for three reasons. First, I didn’t have the financial might to take care of her. Second, I was tired and frustrated. But the most painful reason is that she deprived me of actualising my dream of becoming a lawyer. .

“I would have aborted the pregnancy, but my father advised me against it. The person that is responsible for the pregnancy rejected me. I live with my sister, who has no job and I am also not working.”

Asked if she was aware of the magnitude of her offence, she gave a wry smile, and muttered: “The most important thing is that I have killed the baby.”

Her elder sister, who expressed shock at her sibling’s action, said she was at home on the day of the incident, but never knew what the latter was doing until policeman stormed their apartment.

She said: “I suspect she is mentally deranged because our mother had a similar mental issue before she died.”

The Police said the suspect will undergo psychiatric test but that will not stop her from facing the consequence of her action.

According to the lady, she once collected a N15m loan for a boyfriend who later absconded. Explaining further, she revealed she also sold her personal car, her father’s land and all her belongings to help the said boyfriend who later fled.

Miss Karen claims that the incident pushed her into a coma that lasted for six months.

She tweeted: “I collected loan of 15 million for my ex, sold my dad’s land, my personal car and virtually all my belongings…A story I will never forget in my life all bcoz of love. I was in COMA at LUTH for complete six months, in fact I thank God for my life. [SIC]”

Explaining further in series of responses to social media users who expressed disbelief, she revealed she was in love and he had cried out to her for help with a business idea he had about aluminium materials.

“I was in love then because he was the one that got me deflowered. I never knew his intention was deadly. It was a pure foolishness and gullible act but I thank God for my life today. He called me around 4:pm on that day.

“That I should see him, that its urgent, then I left what I was doing, drove straight to his house, then he knelt down and started crying, showed me some business documents related to aluminium materials, crying profusely.

“I have not seen him till date. December 17th will be the last month of the loan… I have evidences not a joke ooo,” she wrote.

The imminent threat to her marriage forced her to get an axe, walked into her mother-in-law’s room and hacked her to death in her sleep.

In an interview with The Nation, the suspect said she and her husband, Abaagu Clem, got married in February 2016 but are yet to have a child.

She claims that she and her mother in-law became sworn enemies from the day Clem, an only child, introduced her as his wife-to-be.

Rosemary revealed that her mother-in-law tried to prevent Clem from marrying her but it proved abortive as he stood his ground, insisting she was the one for him.

Clem’s decision to defy his mother and go ahead with the marriage allegedly didn’t go well with his mother who allegedly swore never to allow the marriage to work.

Rosemary said her mother in-law never hid her hatred for her as every little issue they had was easily amplified to a major issue, resulting in a quarell and physical fight in many cases.

According to the suspect, her inability to bear a child for her husband saw her mother in-law mounting pressure on him to take another wife.

She said her husband at a time began yielding to his mother’s pressure and was introduced to a girl who started living with the mother in-law. .

The unidentified lady was driving past a mini-market in Agungi, Lagos when she chanced upon the act.

Too serious to ignore, the woman started filming the ordeal while raining curses on the sellers.

 The sellers, on the other hand, pleaded with the woman to restore her calm and stop filming them.

She lady later cautioned Nigerians to be wary of what they eat, especially persons living within the said vicinity.

According to the unidentified Benin lady, she cautioned the driver twice to stop smoking while driving, a correction the latter did not take lightly.

In a viral video which captured the said lady on her knees during the proposal, the man, who rather seemed confused about the development, tried pulling the lady up.

However, the lady persisted on kneeling for the proposal to be accepted only for the young man to walk away.

Despite the loud cheers encouraging the young lady to accept the proposal, she was calm and quiet.

The guy on the other hand, who could not stand the situation, quickly grabbed her legs and pulled off the shoes and the food he bought and left.

According to a social media user who made the ordeal known in a post, the lady allegedly beat her mother with a cane after her pastor tagged her a witch.

The user claimed the mother is the cause of all her predicaments and also the source of her retrogression in life.

Most intriguing fact of the ordeal is that the friends of the daughter could be heard giggling and cheering the lady on as she flopped her mother.

Her mother at a point became defensive as she tries to fight her daughter off.

Trouble started when the said lady, identified only as Kamsi, and her deceased sister were accosted by their neighbour for packing out of their home without paying their pending debt.

The misunderstanding prompted Kamsi to use her influence to call in an army officer to help her deal with the said neighbour.

However, when the army officer arrived, there was a struggle between him and boy, during which two bullets were mistakenly shot, with one hitting Kamsi’s elder sister and killing her instantly.

The army officer fled the scene when he realized the havoc he caused but the police swooped in on the Kamsi and the neighbor.

The suspects have been transferred to the Lagos State Police division where they await trial.

Gifty went through her ordeal when she attended the church’s watch night service with the intention of putting her family under God’s care.

She narrated how she was handpicked from the congregation to be delivered of so called evil spirits the church claimed was attacking her family.

The pastor declined to attend to Gifty personally, according to her.

“He told me he would transfer his spirit and powers to a member named Frederick to rather attend to me,” she narrated

Speaking on Nhyira FM’s Ewiase Mu Nsem, a traumatised Gifty revealed that in the course of the deliverance, Frederick blew air into her nostrils, causing her to lose consciousness instantly.

She recalled how she was bathed with anointing oil in an attempt to revive her, leading to a temporal lost of sight in the process.

“When he blew air into my nose, I stiffened as though I had just experienced an electric shock. The [anointing] oil they poured on me burnt as pepper. My left eye became blurred at once but not even my cries for help will stop him from pouring more oil into the other eye. It was at that point that I blacked out,” she narrated.

According to Gifty who had been a member of the church for two years prior to her experience, none of the members checked on her when she was hospitalized as a result of the so called deliverance.

Gifty Anokye who has currently regained her sight vowed never to step foot in the church, adding she has lost faith in the church.

According to her, the said lover, Daniel Afriyie Owusu who is a phone repairer at Accra Newton disappeared after she informed him of her pregnancy.

Lulu Jemimah, 32, an Oxford student, got fed-up of her family pressuring her on settling down with the right man, and in a bid to get her parents off her back; she decided to get married to herself in a bizarre wedding ceremony.

According to Jemimah, the wedding cost her just £2 for her taxi to the venue, and she got other things for free or as gifts from friends.

‘I have a strong passion in life and I am committed to achieving my goals at becoming an academic.

‘But all my family wanted to ask me was when I planned to get married – which is very important back in Uganda – followed by when I would be having children and starting a family.

‘My father wrote my wedding speech when I turned 16. Every birthday my mother prayed for me and in recent years this has included a plea for a good husband.

But I just didn’t want to think about walking up the aisle. It’s not the thing which keeps me up at night.’

Lulu who previously worked as a freelance journalist and a communications consultant for the International Organisation for Migration received a BA Media (film) scholarship from Macquarie University in Australia in 2013. After completing her undergraduate degree, she applied to Oxford University to do masters, which she started in August 2017.

Despite her academic achievements, all her parents wanted was for her to get a boyfriend and tie the knot, she claims. When Lulu returned home to Uganda for her birthday in August, she celebrated her birthday together with her bizarre wedding through the help of some of her friends.

‘One of my closest friends Karin reminded me that I had a lot to celebrate this year like getting into Oxford and I joked that I would show up in a wedding dress,’ she said.

‘We had been talking about this marriage pressure and she loved the idea so much that she offered to get me the wedding gown. ‘Then I decided, you know what weddings seem so important here – I will marry myself.’

Lulu arranged the last-minute ceremony at Quepasa Bar in the Ugandan capital Kampala on August 27 – her 32nd birthday.

A friend who works as a web designer made and printed her invites, and her friend paid to hire her dress, while her brother baked her cake.

Lulu added: ‘[As soon as] I sent these out I immediately received phone calls asking who the groom was. I told people it was a surprise.

‘It’s shocking the price of wedding gowns in Uganda but when I told them I was marrying myself they offered to find me their cheapest dress.

‘I did feel a bit crazy trying on the dress and explaining that I was marrying myself. There was a kind of dismissive tolerance from the girls in the bridal shop.

‘I was extremely happy,’ she said. ‘So many friends showed up, as well as international and local journalists, film directors and feminist entrepreneurs.

‘Marriage is an expression of love and commitment, however for many people back home, it is still considered the only way to guarantee a woman’s financial security.’

‘I had worried about coming off as stupid but to have such a strong intellectual group of friends behind the idea that was all the validation I needed for the choices I have made.’

Although, her parents didn’t attend the big day as they were ‘a bit confused’ about her decision to get married to herself.

‘When we talked the next day she was a bit confused and slightly hurt, but explained that by even wearing a wedding dress it proved I was ready for marriage,’ she said.

‘My father still maintains that he doesn’t know what to say.’
