Final year students of Kpelema D/A School at Krachi East in the Volta Region are angry at their Headmaster for failing to register them for Information Communication and Technology (ICT) in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) although monies were collected from them.

Some students who spoke to Adom News, said they were provided with index numbers as usual but upon arrival at their centre they were sacked because the ICT subject was not added to their registered subjects.

According to them, the headmaster told them that he had registered all the subjects so they were ultimately shocked to receive the hard news when they arrived.

Meanwhile, the Headmaster of the Kpelema D/A School, Anklu Asante in a response to the claims said the students were registered for all the subjects so he is surprised they have been exempted from entering the hall for the paper.

He added that he will make the efforts to file a report to the district director to know what can be done for the students.

“We were all in grievance. It was at the Centre that we realized they didn’t register the students. I have done my job. All the corporate bodies have performed their duties. I will see the district director so we can see what we can do about it…” he said.
