Two people have been arrested by the Ga south Municipal taskforce for cutting down trees without authorization at Weija Dam near Kalabule in Accra.
The dam according to reports is supposed to help reserve the Dam.
A taskforce, including soldiers also demolished illegal church buildings and drinking spots around the river.
Some residents who spoke to Adom News, called on the government to demolish buildings around the Dam else the river will dry up soon.
The residents say majority of those who have built around the Dam, have connected their waste water directly into the river.
