Host of Adom FM’s morning show, Captain Smart has urged Ghanaians to commend Ghanaian actress, Moesha rather than condemn her for opening up that she sleeps with a married man for money.
Moesha Boduong, in an interview with CNN’s Amanpour show, revealed that the state of the Ghanaian economy has pushed her into having sex with a married man in order to survive.
“Our economy is such that you just need someone to take care of you because you can’t make enough money as a woman here,” she told Amanpour.

“When you want to get an apartment, in Ghana you pay two years in advance and I just started working, where will I get the money,” she asked rhetorically.
On what the man expects in return, Moesha said, “he expects me to be loyal and just to date him only and give him sex when he wants .You can’t say no. You have to give him what he wants otherwise he is going to think you are cheating on him”.

But speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Thursday, Captain Smart applauded the actress for being honest in speaking the facts about Ghana’s rent issues and hardships young women go through.
According to him, it has already been the norm where some young men and women sleep with married people to cater for themselves even though some women work hard to manage their lives.
“It’s been the norm…; some were sleeping with men to get paid. If a young man is to pay rent he is to pay two years. These are young ladies that we don’t have any plan for in this country.  Some people slept their ways [through to the top]. We are not saying that we don’t recognise the minority who work…” Captain said.
He continued that, “She used the word loyal. You must stay loyal. The lady did not say she was sleeping with guys. She said you must be loyal to the boyfriend who is already married. How about someone who is married to a man with two wives already? he queried.
Captain Smart further urged leaders and respective authorities in the country to pay attention to better standards of living of people in the country.
