A truck driver and his mate are trapped in a fecal matter dumping site at Ashaley Btowe in the Greater Accra region.
According to reports, the driver was offloading the human excreta when the vehicle plummeted into the pit.

An eyewitness, Owusu Boadu confirmed this on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Thursday.
He said workers at the landfill site who quickly rushed to the scene were able to rescue the driver but his mate is still trapped in the pit.

“We used a long rope to rescue the driver but we are struggling to rescue the mate who is still alive in the pit” Mr. Owusu added.
The driver, he stated, sustained minor injuries after the fall Thursday morning.

“We gave him water to wash himself and he was asked to go to the hospital for medical attention”, the eyewitness said.
Meanwhile, the truck, Mr. Boadu said has drowned and it will be difficult to pull it out.
