Dancehall act, Samini, has responded to fellow musician, Shatta Wale’s claim that most Ghanaian musicians are poor.
Shatta had claimed at a Zylofon Cash Activation Concert in Aflao that majority of Ghanaian musicians were poor for which reason Zylofon Media had come to solve their problems.

“You see Zylofon, they come cure our problems for we, they say they no go come lie to Ghana artiste like some record labels,” he said.
But reacting to the comments on the ‘E with Becky’ show Tuesday, Samini said Shatta Wale made those comments because he did not know how rich he was.
“If you sit somewhere and you worry about me so much that you want to tell people my financial status, actually, as part of things you sit and worry about, that tells me that even the small money that you’ve gotten, you are wondering if that is ever going to make you like me [sic]”, he told Joy New’s Alvin Tracy.

“That’s how I feel because before you got any money at all, you know we’ve been spending money and you’ve been saying it that we were the ones getting the money…..all of a sudden, you came, you saw, you got some so if you’re going to call somebody that has been collecting money from 2001 and still collecting in 2018 a poor guy, that’s your opinion”, Samini jabbed subtly.
