Ghanaian singer Moliy has claimed her second award of the night at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards after “Shake It To The Max Remix” won the Best Reggae/Dancehall Song category.

The victory is considered one of the biggest upsets of the night, especially in a category long dominated by Stonebwoy, who has consistently been a strong force in Ghana’s reggae and dancehall space over the years.

Moliy’s hit record beat Stonebwoy’s “Torcher,” “Larger Than Life (LTL)” by Cina Soul featuring Stonebwoy, Samini’s “Summer King,” “Talisman” by AratheJay featuring Stonebwoy and “Pharaoh” by Amerado.

For many observers, the win reflects the changing dynamics within Ghana’s reggae and dancehall scene, with newer acts and crossover sounds beginning to challenge long-established dominance in the category.

The award marks Moliy’s second win on the night after earlier taking home the International Collaboration of the Year award for the same song.

Other nominees in the International Collaboration category included So It Goes by Black Sherif featuring Fireboy DML, Too Late Remix by Wendy Shay featuring Bedjine, Phina and Guchi, Meet 4 Corner by Lasmid featuring Tml Vibez, See What We’ve Done by King Promise featuring Mr Eazi and Body Go by Moliy featuring Tyla.

“Shake It To The Max Remix,” which features Jamaican stars Shenseea and Skillibeng alongside producer Silent Addy, has enjoyed massive commercial success and international attention since its release.

The remix became a favourite across streaming platforms and social media, earning praise for its infectious rhythm and seamless blend of Afrobeats and dancehall influences.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards celebrates outstanding achievements in Ghana’s music industry and has attracted musicians, producers, entertainment personalities and music lovers from across the country.
