The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has revealed it will soon establish a council that will regulate its operations.

Public Relations Officer, Simmons Yussif Kewura, who made the disclosure said the council, when established, will, among other things, see to the daily running of the service.

Mr Kewura, speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem show said the Council will also ensure hearse drivers do not abuse the use of sirens.

“Ambulances do not carry corpses but undertake pre-hospital emergency service but the hearse is used to carry corpses so they do not need sirens, therefore the council will make sure that is stopped,” he explained.
