The Member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency, Edem Kofi Kpotosu, has donated 3,500 mathematical sets to 3,232 candidates in the Ho Municipality ahead of the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), scheduled to begin on Monday.
The donation, aimed at supporting candidates to sit for the examination with the required tools, was distributed to final-year junior high school students across the municipality.
The gesture forms part of the MP’s ongoing commitment to improving education and ensuring equal opportunities for students in the constituency.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News after the presentation, Mr Kpotosu encouraged the candidates to remain focused and approach the examination with confidence.
He emphasized that adequate preparation, coupled with the right materials, plays a crucial role in academic success.
He noted that the provision of the mathematical sets is intended to ease the burden on parents and guardians, while also ensuring that no student is disadvantaged during the examination due to lack of essential materials.
“I believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. This support is to ensure that all candidates are well-equipped to write their exams without any hindrance,” he stated.
Mr Kpotosu further urged the students to make the municipality proud by excelling in their exams and advised them to uphold discipline and integrity throughout the examination period.
Some beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a relief to both students and their families.

Teachers and school authorities also commended the MP for the initiative, noting that it would help boost the confidence of candidates as they prepare to write the BECE.
The BECE, conducted annually for final-year junior high school students in Ghana, is a key examination that determines placement into senior high schools and technical institutions.
