Former Greater Accra Regional Minister and Tema East MP, Titus Glover, has called for the immediate interdiction of health professionals on duty during the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn child at the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital.
Speaking on Badwam on Adom TV, he argued that urgent action must be taken even before the conclusion of investigations.
According to him, preliminary reports indicate that the woman complained of severe pain but did not receive the necessary attention.
“The reports suggest she was in pain and nothing was done to save her and the baby,” he said.
Mr Glover insisted that the medical doctor and the senior midwife on duty should be interdicted immediately to allow for a fair and transparent investigation.
“The medical doctor and the senior midwife on duty must be interdicted with immediate effect,” he said.
He maintained that such a step would demonstrate seriousness in addressing the matter and ensure accountability within the healthcare system.
