Revealed: Bournemouth rejected multiple offers for Antoine Semenyo during summer transfer

-

AFC Bournemouth reportedly rejected £50 million offers from both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur for Antoine Semenyo at the start of the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

The 25-year-old forward attracted widespread interest following a stellar campaign last season but opted to stay at the Vitality Stadium, signing a new long-term contract that included a pay rise.

Semenyo has continued his impressive form this season, with only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland boasting a better goal record.

The Ghana international has scored six goals and registered three assists in nine appearances for the Cherries.

Bournemouth believe that if Semenyo maintains this level of performance, his market value could rise significantly by next summer, putting both the club and the player in a strong financial position.

Despite growing interest from Premier League heavyweights, including Liverpool, Semenyo remains committed to Bournemouth’s project and is determined to leave only when the timing and terms are right.

He will be looking to extend his fine run of form when Bournemouth face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, November 2.
