The Player Relations for the Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG), Yussif Chibsah, has expressed his disappointment with the absence of more than half of captains of Ghana Premier League clubs at Monday’s meeting with the Normalisation Committee.

The former player who is also Player Relations Officer at the Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG), Yusif Chibsah stated he believes a meeting with the Normalisation Committeewould have helped to address some of the challenges local players face.

Mr Chibsah insisted that it was a fruitful meeting which was well attended by the Division One and Women football representatives and only wished all the sixteen premier league clubs were wellrepresented as well.

“I am disappointed most of the premier league clubs were absent because we addressed a lot of issues at the meetingeven though the PFAG, Division one and the Women’s Football Representatives were in attendance, it would have been better if everyone was there.”

He further revealed that paramount in that meeting was the discussion of the working conditions of the players and their contractual obligations through which the players were able to voice out all the problems they face when it comes to their remuneration and also suggested they all have a standard contract to take care of the players.

“We suggested that the Committee seek to cooperate and government sponsorship so the players can be paid well from those packages and also keep a copy of player’s contract at the GFA office”.

Yussif Chibsah concluded that the Normalization Committee could not emphatically state when Ghana football will return but assured they are putting plans in place to make sure it returnsbetter in a good shape.
