A swift police action has resulted in the arrest of demonstrating Menzgold customers who had invaded the Trassaco residence of Chief Executive Officer, Nana Appiah Mensah.

The angry customers who had massed up at the residence to demand their funds were arrested by the police for allegedly breaching the public order act.

The police operation led by Accra Region Police Operations Director ACP, Kwesi Ofori, rounded up nearly all the customers and whisked them away.

ACP Kwesi Ofori said the customers had no right to pour into the residential facility and disturb the peace, making their action unlawful.

Joy News’ Komla Adom had reported earlier that some well-built men swamped into the compound on motorbikes standing in front of the gate.
