Experienced Black Queen’s defender, Linda Eshun has said Ghana’s group for the upcoming 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations is not a tough one and is positive they can go pass the three other countries to make it out of Group A.

Ghana, after the official draw, was paired with Algeria, Mali and 2016 runners-up Cameroon and the former Hasaccas Ladies star believes is not going to be a tall order for Ghana.

We are happy with the draw and the countries that are in our group. We have played all the countries in our group before and they pose no threat at all. We are ready to play and make it out of our group,” she said.

The 2015 All Africa Games gold medalist is one of the foreign based-players to have joined her colleagues in Ghana to fine-tune for the tournament.

She revealed there are some new faces in the team but is hopeful now that the draw is over, intense preparations will help them win the trophy on home soil.

I only joined the team on Saturday and I can see new faces but with intense preparations, I am hopeful we will gel well and be ready to host and win the tournament when it begins. We are all ready to play and we ae expecting most of my colleagues to join”, she added

The defender was part of Ghana’s squad at the last two editions of the Women’s Championship and is confident the Black Queens will improve on their third place position in 2016.
