Antoine Semenyo named Bournemouth’s Player of the Month award for August

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been voted AFC Bournemouth’s Player of the Month for August following a series of standout performances at the start of the Premier League season.

The 25-year-old attacker scored twice and registered an assist in just three matches, earning the award sponsored by Michael Matthews Jewellers.

Semenyo announced his fine form with a brace in the thrilling 3-3 draw against Liverpool, before setting up the decisive goal in Bournemouth’s 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He also played a key role in the Cherries’ victory away to Tottenham Hotspur.

His exploits have earned him nominations for both the Premier League Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards.

Semenyo has carried his momentum into September, contributing a goal and an assist in Bournemouth’s win over Brighton following the international break.

With Newcastle United set to visit the Vitality Stadium this weekend, the in-form Ghanaian will be aiming to extend his impressive run under head coach Andoni Iraola.
