Rapper Sarkodie has disclosed the genesis of his love affair with wife, Ewurama Tracy, better known as Tracy Sarkcess.
According to him, he noticed Tracy because she lived in his neighbourhood in Tema.
The artiste, however, said on ‘This Is Gospel’ with Franky 5 on Hitz FM, revealed that his first attempt to propose love to the young lady was unsuccessful.
‘‘The old school story. Area girl, area boy, two houses from my mum. That is where she lived…It didn’t work out in the beginning. I tried, it didn’t,” he said.
Sarkodie stated that he had to wait patiently for a while to finally have his time with Tracy Sarckcess on his second attempt.
‘‘I think she had somebody else so I had to be on stand-by for a while. So she went back to Germany, where she lived most of her life. When she came back was when the magic happened. The rest is history,” he narrated.
The rapper indicated that he was determined to spend his life with Tracy because she was the first lady he strongly desired.
“That was my first crush in life as a kid. The reason I knew it was real because it was nothing physical. I didn’t just know why I liked the person. And I was a kid so I didn’t understand it but I liked her…I imagined growing with her and that happened,” he disclosed.
Sarkodie and Tracy Sarkcess welcomed their first daughter, Titi Owusu Addo, in 2016.
The two tied the knot in 2018 at a colourful private ceremony attended by high-profile personalities.
