The former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey, has dismissed claims that MPs who supported Kennedy Agyapong in the New Patriotic Party (New Patriotic Party) primaries will be sidelined or demoted.

Speaking on Badwam TV on Adom TV, he described the allegations as false and an attempt to divert public attention.

According to him, suggestions that people from the camp of Mahamudu Bawumia intend to punish MPs who supported Kennedy Agyapong are baseless.

“It is never true. That is just a way of shifting attention,” he said.

Mr Nartey stressed that the party remains united and will support all its Members of Parliament, regardless of who they backed during the internal elections.

He explained that when the time comes for parliamentary primaries, all sitting MPs will be given the opportunity to contest, with the party rallying behind them.

He emphasized that the NPP’s focus is on building a strong party rather than promoting individual interests.

“We are building a party, not individuals,” he added.
