Former Division One League Board Chairman, Lawyer Ntow Fianko has sided with the Sports Ministry’s directive for the 2017 MTN FA Cup final to be kicked off at 3:00pm.

The massively promoted grande finale dubbed “unmissable” was scheduled to be played under floodlights at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Sunday October 29th but has since been ordered to be played two hours earlier.

“It’s a hollow argument if anyone says the game should be played at 5:00pm because of the hot weather  condition up north, because this is not the first time these two teams are playing over there in the afternoon. They played a couple of games against Bolga All Stars up there this season and they survived.

“When the Ghana Premier League was ongoing   none of the teams from the north played their home game at 5:00pm .Bolga All Stars played none of their home games in the evening.”

“It’s better to play in a half full stadium in the afternoon and be safe, than to play in a full stadium at night and put lives at risk. Life will continue after Sunday”, he stated.
