Joe Beechem

Gospel musician, Joe Beechem, has narrated the ordeal he faced in his period of childlessness when his prayers blessed his congregants with babies.

Speaking on TV3’s Newday, monitored by Adomonline.com, Pastor Beechem said he felt societal pressure after being childless for 10 years of marriage.

He revealed that he felt embarrassed when he heard testimonies of people who were blessed through him with the fruit of the womb.

According to Pastor Beechem, some members even mocked him to father a child before prophesying in their lives.

“I felt very lonely and it affected my ministry. When visiting pastors ask for those in need of children, the congregation turns at my wife and I with expectation that we would stand up. It continued for a while until we decided not to avail ourselves anymore because it was depressing and embarrassing,” he said.

Pastor Beechem narrated how he prophesied for fruitfulness of his wife’s womb when he was awoken by her tears one midnight.

To him, that prophesy was just to console his grieving wife, but little did he know that it was a prayer soon to be answered.

He recalled the joy he felt when his wife confirmed her pregnancy on his birthday, news he described as the best gift he had on his special day. They now have an eight-year-old child.
