Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjo Fiano has said that, until Ghanaian club administrators put aside their individual interest, Ghana football will still come back to square one.

The former AshantiGold Chief Executive Officer in an interview on Asempa FM established that, the premier league club administrators are the reason for the cancellation of the Normalization Committee’s special competition due to their entrenched position.

According to Fiano, as a result of redundancy the football clubs themselves, called for a tournament but their current attitude towards the committee baffles him.

“They [the clubs] said they have signed players and are paying them without any football activities going on, somebody [the normalization committee] says they are bringing football why should you say you will not play.

“You are playing friendly matches out of you own coffers and you have been given the opportunity to come and play competitive matches which can take you to Africa, why are we hesitating to play; so we are our own enemies.”

The Special Competition which was supposed to keep the clubs active for things to be normalized following the Anas’s Number 12 expose was cancelled due to transparency issues between the premier league clubs and the normalization Committee.
