Former Obuasi Metropolitan Chief Executive under the erstwhile Mahama administration Richard Ofori Boakye Agyemang widely known as ‘Zuba’ has said his Deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA is full of John Mahama and that he would want to see him contesting for President in 2020.
Zuba claims he would be more than happy to see the former President lead the National Democratic Congress [NDC] party in the 2020 general polls.
All 10 regional Chairmen of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a statement issued on Thursday called on the former President John Dramani Mahama to lead the party into the 2020 elections.
Contrary to reports that Mr. Mahama might not be returning to the NDC as a presidential nominee, the vociferous MCE says otherwise stating ” Kwame I can confidently tell you that Mahama will contest for the 2020 presidential elections”.
”I am team Mahama member and I can say that if the party open nomination for the 2020 Presidential primaries we will pick form for former president John Dramani Mahama to contest” Zuba was speaking on Abusua Nkommo with host Kwame Adinkra.
He however remained optimistic Mr. Mahama will not turn down calls by NDC faithfuls to lead the party in 2020.
