A National Vice Chairperson for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso says her decision to kneel before former President Jerry John Rawlings and ask for forgiveness on behalf of the party impacted on the party’s cohesion.
Madam Desoso outlined the benefits her action of kneeling down before the founder has brought to her party.

“I don’t ever regret begging for forgiveness from Rawlings. Those members who had issues with Rawlings should thank me because I have opened all closed doors for them; there is a free passage for our presidential candidates to call on Rawlings for his blessing and I’m very happy,” Ms Desoso said.
Ms Desoso was in her apologetic best when she knelt before ex-President Rawlings in a bid to ask for forgiveness for the party at a June 4 anniversary celebration at Madina.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Monday, Anita Desoso maintained the former president was his father but said she wasn’t happy about his bleaching comments.
According to her, a lot of NDC sympathisers have since lauded her for taking, what they describe, as a brave move to mend the cracks in the party.
