The Bibiani Circuit Court has sentenced a self-acclaimed Mallam and two accomplices to 30 years’ imprisonment each after finding them guilty of a string of violent criminal offences.
The court, presided over by His Highness Frank Asiedu Nimako Esq., convicted Victor Biney, 28, popularly known as Abeiku, together with Appiah Christopher, 22, and Tijani Seidu, 20.
Biney, whom police describe as a notorious criminal operating within the Juaboso area, was identified as the leader of the gang.

The convictions followed the trio’s arrest over an attempted robbery and attempted murder targeting a mining equipment dealer, popularly known as Obolo, at Sehwi Juaboso in the Western North Region.
Prosecutors charged the accused persons on six counts, including conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery, unlawful entry, attempted robbery, possession of a firearm or ammunition without lawful authority, and abetment of crime.
In his plea for leniency, counsel for the accused, John Abuga, urged the court to temper justice with mercy, pointing to the relatively young ages of his clients.
The prosecution, led by George Asante Noye, opposed the plea, arguing that the growing incidence of violent crime in the area required a strong deterrent sentence.

After considering submissions from both sides, the court imposed 30-year custodial sentences on each of the three convicts.
Meanwhile, Victor Biney, alias Abeiku, is expected to face additional criminal charges in three separate cases involving alleged robbery and stealing.
These matters are pending before the Bodi Circuit Court and the Bibiani Circuit Court.
He is scheduled to appear in Bodi on January 22, 2026, and again in Bibiani on February 20, 2026.
