Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North and Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament’s Energy Committee, Collins Adomako-Mensah, has called on Ghanaians to boycott South African products and businesses over recent developments in South Africa.
Speaking on Badwam on Adom TV, he described the situation as unacceptable and urged immediate action from Ghanaians.
According to him, reports of hostility towards Africans, including Ghanaians, in South Africa should not be tolerated.
“What is happening in South Africa is a complete nonsense and should not be tolerated,” he said.
He argued that if Ghanaians are not welcomed or are mistreated in South Africa, then there is no reason to support South African businesses operating in Ghana.
He specifically called for a boycott of South African-owned products and establishments, including malls and other businesses within the country.
“With immediate effect, Ghanaians should start boycotting their products and businesses,” he added.
Collins Adomako-Mensah further noted that South Africans live and operate businesses in other African countries without facing similar treatment, stressing the need for fairness and mutual respect.
