Deputy skipper of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Eric Donkor says he is hoping for a contact extension with the club.
The player whose contract has expired after he helped Kotoko win the FA cup said he is addicted to the club.
The forceful left back who was recruited under the Dr. Kofi Koduah Sarpong administration in 2011 in an interview with OTEC FM explained Asante Kotoko shot him into limelight and will gladly pen a new contract when approached.
According to the FA Cup winning medalist, his future however depends on head coach Steven Pollack who will decide whether he will be a part of the gaffer’s plans next season even though he did not debunk offers from two foreign clubs and a local club.
“My contract with the club has expired this season and I will opt to stay with Asante Kotoko ahead of any local club. This club gave me the best opportunities in my carrier”, Donkor expressed.
“I have had several offers so far both from foreign and local clubs but I will choose Asante Kotoko ahead of any other local club”.
Eric Donkor is one of the ten players whose contract with the porcupine warriors expired after the 2016/2017 season.
