Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steven Pollack, has stated that he is keen on bringing back   the scouting system into Ghana football.
The system is an essential tool for clubs, Youth Academies, and federations in talent detection.
Player scouts help evaluate the talent of footballers with a view to signing them on a professional contract for their employers.
Some scouts focus on discovering promising young players and future stars, while others are employed to run the rule on potential signings.
Smaller clubs might only scout within their own country or region; larger, richer clubs can have extensive international scouting networks.
According to Pollack, the scouting system will help Kumasi Asante Kotoko to unearth a lot of quality talents which can be used as reinforcements for the team.
“If I had the time to watch the division one and two’s play, I would do that, but that is not my job. That is why you need the scouting system, a system which I would want to bring here”, he told Asempa Sports.
“I think there are a lot of quality players in Ghana, we are always talking about the league but I guarantee you that if to go to the division one and two leagues you will find equally good players”.
“I’m going to try and get players from Ghana to boost my current squad”, he added.
