Watch Emmanuel Quayson mimic various animals in the video below:

A boy who wonders on the streets of Accra in search of greener pastures has a unique talent of mimicking a wide range of domestic and wild animals.

20-year-old Emmanuel Quayson who hails from the same town as Ghana’s fist President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah – Nkroful in the Western Region, says he started mimicking animals when he was barely six years old.

Emmanuel’s animal sounds are not ordinary; they are the kind of animal sounds that are so on point that they have, on many occasions, tricked animals to come to him, thinking they were in the company of one of their own.

As intriguing and unique as his case might sound, however, Quayson is at the lowest ebb of the social ladder.

“I don’t know the full name of my real father because he sacked me from home when I was very small”, he told adomonline.com.

As though that will be the worst thing to ever happen to him, his step father with whom he stayed after his biological father had sacked him, stopped catering for him for inexplicable reasons.

“He stopped looking after me because, according to him, my mother was devoting too much time for me at the expense of my siblings who are his biological children”, he narrated.

With all hope lost in the village, Emmanuel said he decided to move to Accra even though he had no one to play host to him.

“I sleep at the [Kwame Nkrumah] Circle lorry station”, he revealed about how he spends his nights.

Kwame says he can mimic about 100 animals, both domestic and wild.

“I have used my talent of mimicking animals to lure a lot of domestic animals for their owners”, he recalls.

I don’t mimic animals I haven’t seen or heard before but I have, on occasions, mimicked animals I have seen and heard on television”, he added.

Emmanuel’s education terminated at junior high school but his dreams haven’t terminated as he has told adomonline.com that he intends to play a special role in the lives of school children.

“I want to visit schools and make sounds of animals a lot of school children may not have heard and probably never hear in their lives.

Emmanuel who is the first of seven children to his mother says should he become successful, his mother, Elizabeth, step father, Joseph Ackah and his siblings will be well catered for.

According to him, he has, on a few occasions, made a cedi or two from people who are amazed by his talent and decide to give him “something”.

He said he saw a colleague mimicker in an interview with Adom FM’s Kofi Adoma and has thrown an open invitation to him for a mimicking challenge.

Emmanuel hopes his talent makes him a star one day and presents him with opportunities.
