Two people have been confirmed dead and about 10 others severely injured after a gory accident at Sefwi Adebewura, near Sefwi Bekwai in the Western North Region.
A Nissan Caravan with about 15 passengers on board with registration number AS 4546-17 from Asankragua heading towards Kumasi run into a Kia truck with registration number AS 7121-18 fully loaded with sachet water.

In an interview with Adom News, the District Police Commander, Valentine Agbosu said he suspects one of the drivers was sleeping while driving.
“The incident occurred around 3:am and due to the extent of injury, we had to put in much effort to rescue the people,” he said.

He added that the deceased, together with the 10 people who were in critical conditions, were sent to the Komfo Anokye, Bibiani and Sefwi Wiawso hospitals.
