The Ghana Football Association has officially unveiled Zylofon Cash as the new headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League.

The unveiling of the mega deal was done at the Movenpick Hotel Thursday 17th May, 2018.

Zylofon Cash is a web-based platform which allows creative persons to monetize their artistic talents through uploads of their contents or ideas.

The FA will receive an amount of $2m every year for the next five years from Zylofon as the sponsors of the league.

The domestic league has been without a major sponsor after First Capital Plus Bank, terminated their five-year contract after just two seasons. The 16 Ghana Premier League clubs are expected to receive a $2m annually over the period.

Speaking at the event, Zylofon boss, Nana Appiah Mensah said “Zylofon Media has taken the decision to sponsor the league for the next five years. Now, the Ghana Premier League would be called the Zylofon Cash Ghana Premier League.”

The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, who was present at the event, expressed gratitude to Zylofon Cash.

”The money will go into developing the league, the clubs, and management and players welfare. Zylofon Cash are not only performing the corporate objective but also contributing to our football.”

“The Executive Committee of the FA spent sleepless nights reviewing and contributing to the sponsorship package to ensure the best for Ghana football.”

“This deal will help the Division One League too, the PLB and the Clubs have agreed to bear the officiating fees of the lower tier league”, he added.
