General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, says the position of the party over the compilation of a new register remains unchanged.
According to General Mosquito as he is popularly known, the party’s stance will remain so until a logical conclusion is reached on the matter.

“Tough we welcome the decision by the Electoral Commission’s Advisory Committee to meet all political parties and other stakeholders about the compilation of a new Voters Register, our position remains unchanged for now,” he said.
General Mosquito said this in an interview with Adom News at a ceremony at Techiman to unveil the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Techiman South Constituency, Christopher Beyere.
He further argued the existing register and the verification machines were more efficient than the facial verification machines that the Commission wants to adopt.
