Musician Edem has registered his displeasure at the current trend of musicians carrying registered guns to shows with the notion of protecting themselves if anything happens.

According to him, such actions have a tendency to escalate into violence in the music industry.

Edem urged his fellow industry players to avoid lyrical kinds of beef, whether planned or not, to move the industry forward.

“Now when we go to shows, musicians are strapped with guns. At least a team member has a licensed gun. We shouldn’t wait for something bad to happen before we discourage it. I don’t encourage that because I want to be brothers with everyone,” Edem said in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Friday.

The latest beef happening in entertainment cycles is between Dancehall act, Shatta Wale and rapper Sarkodie.

But, according to Edem, it’s not necessary since such bees don’t augur well for unity in the industry.
