The Techiman District Police Command has declared the Municipal National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Coordinator, Jibreel Kesse wanted after some well-built men believed to be supporters of the governing NPP stormed the Techiman office to sack the staff on duty.

The men reportedly told the workers to go home because their government is in power.

Municipal NADMO Coordinator, Jibreel Kesse, who was out of the office when the incident happened, said he has lodged a formal complaint with Municipal Chief Executive.

As at 2:55 pm Monday when Joy News got to the office, the main office was opened with the NADMO boss’ computer and other files taken away. The disaster control office is, however, still under lock.

But the Techiman Divisional Police Command, Supt. George Yeboah Afari told Adom News their invitation is to help the police with investigations following the alleged vandalisation of properties.

According to him, the NADMO Coordinator who was out of town at the time of the incident has caused fear and panic since nothing of such happened.

“We have declared the NADMO boss wanted because even when he reported the incident, he was out of town.

“We visited the said office and nothing like that happened so we need him to prove the alleged ransacking of his office” Supt. George Yeboah Afari said.

Listen to the police

Meanwhile, the Techiman Municipal Chief Executive Officer, John Kofi Donyina has debunked the allegation and called for a thorough investigation to ascertain the truth of the matter.
