The Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steve Polack, Godwin Ablordey and the driver of the team bus identified only as Nana are currently being transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
The Coach, according to Circle 4 Vice Chairman, Nsiah Boateng who is at the scene suffered neck injuries while Ablordey and the Driver sustained leg injuries including fractures.
The Kotoko team was involved in an accident at the Nkawkaw by pass when the team bus crashed into a Tamale bound Rhino truck with registration AS 7321-13.
The Rhino truck driven by one Francis Abass was said to have been loaded with fertiliser.
The Kotoko bus with registration number, GT 4327-16 was completely damaged.
The driver’s mate of the Rhino truck is among those injured. One person died on the spot but his identity is yet to be confirmed.
The rest of the injured are currently receiving treatment at the Holy Family Hospital. The Rhino truck was Tema-Tamale bound.
