Schooling is a big deal in Ghana no matter your talent or work therefore getting into the university and successfully completing is an achievement that many admire.

On the other hand, dropping out of school may be a down moment for people but using talent to still become successful is a great achievement.

Here, we bring to you successful celebrities who dropped out of university but still made it in the path they chose.

1. Stonebwoy 

Stonebwoy, known in real life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, is a Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste.

Stonebwoy is one of the top artistes in Ghana who dropped out of university. After releasing some singles and outdooring himself as an artiste, Stonebwoy successfully got admission into University of Professional Studies, Accra but dropped out.

Even though we cannot provide reasons why the ‘Top Skanka’ hitmaker dropped out of UPSA, information had it that Stonebwoy dropped out in level 100. Meanwhile the BHIM Nation President is now a successful musician who speaks very good English anytime he is interviewed.

He is married to a doctor named Louisa with whom he has one child.

2. MzVee 

MzVee, known in real life as Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, is a Ghanaian afrobeats artiste.

When MzVee began her music career and released some singles, she successfully got admission into Ghana Technology University College but dropped out mid-way into her schooling.

The ‘Natural Girl’ hitmaker in an interview admitted that she had dropped out of university and it was because she was finding it difficult to combine music, life and schooling.

MzVee is now a successful musician with many hit songs.

3. D-Black 

Real name Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, D-Black is a Ghanaian rapper and president of Black Avenue Music. Before D-Black began his music career in 2009, he dropped out of the University of Cape Coast.

We cannot provide reasons for his drop out of university but the ‘Vera’ hitmaker was known to have dropped out in level 200. After dropping out, D-Black took music business serious and today he is a successful musician and business man.

D-Black has signed Kojo Cue, Shaker and other artistes to his record label. He also owns a night club at Labone called Club Onyx. D-Black is happily married to a Brazilian named Nadja Pessoa.

4.Joey B

Real name Daryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, Joey B is a Ghanaian singer and rapper.

Before Joey B became popular in Ghana, he was a student at Zenith University College but dropped out along the way. We cannot provide specific reasons why Joey B dropped out of school but he was said to have been carried away by the music life.

The ‘Sweetie Pie’ hitmaker is now a successful musician.

5. Ahuofe Patri

Ahuofe Patri, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku Agyemang, is a Ghanaian actress. She got into the limelight when she starred in a series of short movies with comedian Kalybos.

Before Ahuofe Patri rose to fame, she was a student of the University of Cape Coast. We cannot provide reasons for her drop out but learnt she dropped out in level 100.

The good side about Ahuofe Patri’s case is that she was said to have gone back into school at the National Film and Television Institute where she completed successfully.
