According to him, though the nomadic herdsmen stirred the hornet’s nest by shooting three soldiers and a police officer who are part of Operation Cow Leg, the solution is not to kill the cows.

Nomadic Fulani herdsmen at Agogo are up in arms with police for what they say is indiscriminate killing of their cattle.
They allege that police have been shooting the animals without provocation even in uncultivated areas of the land.
The police however explained that, the action was taken to protect personnel who had come under attack by the animals who acted on orders of the herdsmen.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Irbad Ibrahim said killing the cattle will not be the solution to the Fulani menace which has threatened the very existence of residents of Agogo since 1986.
He indicated that, instead of targeting the cows, the herdsmen who perpetrated the crime should rather be arrested and sentenced to serve as deterrent to others.
Mr. Ibrahim who is the CEO of Irbad Security Consult suggested that the cattle can be confiscated and used for the School Feeding Program or used to feed prisoners instead of wasting them.
He urged the security to prioritize the protection of human live, animals and property for an amicable solution to the problem.
