All is set for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development’s disinfection exercise in all markets in the Ahafo, Bono and Bono East regions.
This follows similar exercises carried out in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions last week aimed at curbing the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic and enhance hygienic situation in the markets.

Today’s exercise is expected to take place in 43 markets in the Ahafo region, 125 and 78 markets in the Bono and the Bono East regions respectively.
Zoomlion personnel will carry out the disinfection of the markets while military personnel will be on ground to protect the items of traders amid other monitoring roles.
The various markets will remain shut with business activities expected to resume on Tuesday.
