Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has reportedly turned down a potential January move to Tottenham Hotspur, preferring to keep his options open for clubs competing at the top end of the Premier League.

The Bournemouth attacker has emerged as one of the division’s most sought-after forwards following a string of impressive performances in recent seasons.

His form has reportedly drawn the attention of Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, all of whom are monitoring his situation closely.

Semenyo, 25, has a £65 million release clause in his contract, which is active only during the first two weeks of the January transfer window.

Tottenham, who failed in their pursuit of the forward during the summer, were reportedly willing to trigger the clause and offer a lucrative wage package.

However, the former Bristol City forward is said to be “politely focusing on other options,” with his ambitions aligned towards clubs higher up the league standings. Spurs have struggled for consistency this season and currently sit 13th in the table, level on points with Bournemouth and ahead of the Cherries only on goal difference.

With Tottenham seemingly out of contention, the race for Semenyo’s signature now appears to be between Liverpool and the two Manchester clubs.

The versatile forward has enjoyed a strong campaign so far, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 16 appearances across all competitions.
