Police arrest three suspects over viral video of toddler fed with alcohol

The Ghana Police Service has arrested three persons in connection with a viral video that showed a two-year-old child being fed with an alcoholic beverage at Kade in the Eastern Region.

The suspects; Tawiah Precious, also known as T’ Moni, aged 18; Emmanuel Dadzie, alias Shapiro, aged 24; and Stephen Amoako, aged 22, who is the father of the child, were arrested on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

According to the police, the arrests were carried out by officers of the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team at Okumani, a suburb of Kade, following sustained intelligence-led operations triggered by the circulation of the disturbing video online.

The two-year-old victim has since been rescued and handed over to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) at Asamankese for protection.

The child is currently in safe custody, pending reunification with the mother.

All three suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to be put before court.

Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest two other suspects, identified as Afram Bright, also known as Mogabe, and one Panyin, who are currently on the run.

The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to the safety and protection of children and has assured the public that all persons involved in acts that endanger the welfare of minors will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
