Kumasi mayor sets goal to ensure schools in the metropolis come tops in all exams

Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi, has set a goal for schools in the metropolis to excel in all examinations during his four-year tenure.

According to him, his term in office as MCE in Obuasi saw the schools taking the lead in various exams and seeks to replicate such a feat in Kumasi.

During a tour to some BECE centers, the mayor announced plans to introduce teacher awards to boost learning in the metropolis.

“At Obuasi, we did such awards, and it helps the students to learn and topmost of the exams. I’m bringing the same to Kumasi and all the preparations are underway,” he said.

Mr. Boadi expressed confidence in the students’ preparedness for the exams and emphasized the need to have no records of exams malpractices.

A total of 9,846 candidates from 95 public schools and 139 private schools are participating in the BECE across 35 centers in the Kumasi Metropolis.
