A 37-year-old man met his untimely death after drowning in the Volta Lake Sunday.
The deceased, Cudjoe Abarike, a casual worker of the Volta lake Transport company at Yeji in the Volta region was said to have gone under the water to check the propeller of the ferry before it moves when the incident occurred.
According to management of the ferry, the young man at around 7:am decided to check on propeller but did not return after several hours.
They dispatched a search party into the water and after hours, they found the body of Cudjoe under the water.

The Navy Detachment Commander at Yeji, Alhaji Mohammed confirmed the incident to Adom News.
They have retrieved the body at around 4:30 and have sent it to the morgue for autopsy.
