Failed Assemblyman for Adukrom Nima in the Ashanti region has gotten the support of local film makers in his pursuit of his case at the Supreme Court.
Nana Adabor Ibrahim Issah Ampim, popularly known as ‘Hon Aponkye’, will be challenging the district Assembly elections in court following his defeat.

He is alleging fraud after official results from the Electoral Commission showed he polled only 234 while the winner, Abdul Rashid polled 1,056 of the total votes cast.
Hon. Aponkye, who claims to have evidence, is confident his Supreme Court journey will be a success.

In support, popular Kumawood actor, Big Akwes on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday declared his unflinching support for Hon Aponkye.
“We won’t allow anyone to cheat Aponkye. All Kumawood actors and actresses will support you at the Supreme Court,” he added.
Also, Yaw Dabo, who was also in the studio, commended Hon Aponkye for not resorting to violence, but chose to go to court.

They have, therefore, resolved to hold a massive demonstration before filing the suit.
