 After three days of sexual intercourse with the pastor, the girl wasn’t seeing any improvement so they decided to report Pastor Kenneth to their family.

“When my daughter complained after some days of constant sexual intercourse, Pastor Kenneth told her that the act was the only way she could be healed of her sickness,” mother of the girls narrated.

My 10-year-old daughter told me Pastor Kenneth used his fingers inside her vagina. She said the pastor told her that if she wanted her elder sister to get better, she must allow him to remove some evil spirit in her vagina.

When I confronted the pastor, he immediately refunded N30,000 I was charged for the prayers, begging that I forgive him but I reported to my husband’s brothers who reported the matter to the police,” she narrated.

Pastor Kenneth’s wife has also allegedly offered the Emeoha family N200, 000 to keep sealed lips, an offer they rejected.

The State Police Spokesman, Orlando Ikeoku, confirmed the incident on Monday, saying it was a case of defilement with the consent to the victims adding the pastor would soon be charged to court at the end of investigations.

Narrating her ordeal on Adom FM’s morning show segment dubbed, ‘Y’asem Nie’ Wednesday, Miss Makathar said she was hit by a stray bullet after she was caught up in the chaos while returning from market.

She said the bullet penetrated her right knee while the left leg suffered minor injury by another bullet she missed narrowly. One of her legs has since been amputated.

She was first rushed to the St. Martins De Porres Hospital in Odumase with six others who sustained various degrees of injuries and was later referred to the St. Joseph Orthopaedic Hospital.

I wasn’t even part of them but all I felt was a stray bullet in my legs. I couldn’t do anything and was carried to the hospital and had my leg amputated,” she recounted in tears.

Asked by the show host Captain Smart if she would want to go back to school, she said “I don’t want to go back but will rather prefer a house and a shop to do business,” she said soberly.

The young lady identified as Karen became an internet sensation last week for slapping her ‘cheating’ boyfriend in a video that went viral.

Family of Linda Akansaa, who suspects the second-year Home Economics student was murdered, said she had gone missing for a week.

Her half-naked and almost decomposed body was discovered in a bush near an uncompleted building by a resident who had gone to clear the site of weeds.

Her death has left residents in fear as they continue to seek answers about what could have motivated the murder of the girl whose single mother has laboured to raise.

Narrating what happened, the family said she left home at about 5 p.m. on Friday, June, 14, to have her phone charged in a nearby house.   

An announcement was made at a local information centre hours later when attempts to find or reach her proved futile.

The body was found at about 5 a.m., one kilometre from her family house after a foul smell from the decomposing body attracted the attention of a man who was applying weedicide to the bushy site.

The man (name withheld) told Nhyira FM he suspected it would be a dead animal until he finally found the body behind packed blocks lying face down.

The student’s underwear and a pair of slippers lay a few meters away from the body.

The deceased’s aunt, Joana Laad said they least suspected that someone would murder their “sweet lively relative” in such a callous manner.

Meanwhile, Police in Ejisu have launched investigations into the matter, as the body is lined up for the autopsy.

Ms Akansaa is the second girl to die in a similar fashion in the community in the last two years.

The body of Sophia Amma Ibrahim, 16-year-old hair braider apprentice was dumped close to her house after being raped and murdered on Good Friday eve of 2017. 

She had then just left her Jamasi home for work at Ejisu but did not return.

A 14-year-old girl, Theresa Adomako Asiedu is battling life at the AGA Hospital in Obuasi in the Ashanti region after an acid bath from a 16-year-old girl over a mobile phone.

The sad incident occurred at Akrokere in the Adansi North district of the Ashanti region after the 16-year-old offered her phone as a collateral for a GH¢50.00 loan.

In an interview with Adom News, father of Theresa, Mr Justice Adomako Asiedu explained he warned his daughter to return the phone but she refused.

“She doesn’t listen to advice because I told her I was going to pay the GH¢50.00 and gave her GH¢15.00 to show my commitment in paying the money but she still insisted on keeping the phone and now this unfortunate incident,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr Kwadwo Anim, Senior Medical Officer, AGA Health Foundation, has assured the girl is responding to treatment.

“Theresa is undergoing treatment and will be fine. She suffered burns on her chest, right hand and face but it did not affect the eyes,” he stated.

DSP Martin Asenso of the Obuasi District Police command, who also confirmed the incident, said they are yet to arrest the suspect.

A 10-year-old girl, identified as Blessed Afua Afful, has been electrocuted to death through a metallic TV pole during a heavy downpour at Agona Duakwa in the Agona East District of the Central region.

In an interview with Adom News, grandmother of the deceased, Akua Yamoah said the sad incident happened when Blessed was on her way home from an errand.

 “Blessed was asked by her step-mother to go and take care of her sugarcane and met her untimely death on her return,” she recounted.

Meanwhile, the Agona Duakwa Station Officer, Chief Inspector Frederick Kyei Barfour revealed that such incidents were very common in the area with four cases recorded within one year.

The Agona East District National Disaster Management Organisation Director, Solomon Kweku Pentsil has assured he is going to contact the District Chief Executive to hold an emergency meeting to ban the use of metal pole for TV reception.

Blessed’s mother, Abena Akyere, who couldn’t hold her shock after hearing the news, reportedly collapsed.

Mother 9-year-old girl who was fingered by her teacher at new Kasoa Ofankor in the Central Region, Abena Badu is calling for help from the public to help her.

The nine-year-old girl in the Central regional town of Kasoa is struggling to walk after she was alleged to have been sexually assaulted by her teacher.

The teacher is said to have inserted his fingers into the vagina of the Primary Two pupil after offering to teach her what she had missed when she reported late to vacation classes.

Unknown to the poor girl, the teacher had an agenda. She recounts that the teacher asked all the other pupils in the class to go home so he could use the classroom.

Mrs Abena Badu who is the mother of the victim said her daughter, is currently receiving treatment at the Winneba Trauma Hospital.

She said she is unable to pay for her medication because she is unemployed.

The father of the child, she said, has abandoned them because of the child’s condition.

She told Adom News that it is her wish to take care of the child single-handedly but does not know where to start because she has no money to pay for the child’s bills.

“My daughter has refused to eat and she is growing lean. I wish I could take care of her but I don’t have any money. I really need help and so the public should come to my aid because I can’t handle it alone,” she cried.

Princess has been accused of attempting to give poisonous substance to her uncle’s son, Kwabla Gokay (5 years) who is sick and bed-ridden.

And she is scheduled to appear before the Mafi Adodime Magistrate Court today, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 to answer the charge of attempted murder, Today learnt.

Last week Friday’s incident left many residents dumbfounded for which they jabbed the Mafi Adodime Police Command for doing the unimaginable.

Speaking in an interview with Today on Sunday, mother of the little girl, Madam Esinam Yevuyibor, revealed that police officers from Mafi Adodime District Police Command came to her house on Friday, May 18, 2018 and arrested Princess Gokay.

Madam Yevuyibor explained that the police told her the arrest of little Princess was as a result of a complaint lodged against the suspect, Princess Gokay, by Mrs Akpene Gokay of an attempt by the 18-month child to allegedly poison her five-year-old son, Kwabla Gokay.

“We were shocked at the forced charge preferred against the little girl by the police officers because Princess who cannot talk or knows her left from right could do such thing to her sick brother,” she told Today amidst tears.

According to her, since the five-year-old Kwabla Gokay became sick and bed-ridden, little Princess has been paying regular visit to him in his room and often plays with him and wondered how she could take a bottle containing a poisonous substance to kill Kwabla.

Giving detail accounts of the issue, she said in April this year, she saw a sister of Kwabla Gokay, Jenifer Gokay, beat up little Princess Gokay and dragged her from the room where Kwabla lives.

“So when I asked Jenifer Gokay what Princess did, she insulted me but escaped when I threatened to beat her up. When her mother returned from the farm, I didn’t know what she told her who quickly rushed to the police and made a report,” she said.

According to Madam Esinam Yevuyibor, it was a surprise to her and neighbours when on Friday the police came and arrested little Princess.

Against this background, Madam Yevuyibor called on the Volta Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nana Asomah Hinneh, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr David Asante-Appeatu, to intervene in the matter.

Meanwhile, when Today reached the Adidome District Police Commander, Mr. Phanthomas Opat, via phone yesterday, he explained: “even a child of twelve years below commits no criminal offence, so I am kind of confused here. I am not aware of such a case.”

He, however, gave the assurance that he will get to the bottom of the matter.

The 11-year-old girl, Sandra Acquah suffered the inhumane treatment because she wet her bed.

Assembly Member of Wawase Electoral Area, Isaac Kwame Fosu who disclosed this to Adom News’ Alfred Amoh said the victim lived with the suspect, Esi Bentsiwa as a house help.

According to the assemblyman, youth in the area on Friday spotted the victim being flogged with a cane for wetting her bed the previous night.

The suspect he noted who became furious with the conduct of the victim followed her to her school and went further to strip the girl naked in the presence of her mates and some teachers.

Mr Fosu said Esi’s act is her way of meting out punishment to the victim for wetting her bed and to prevent her from similar conduct.

The scene even attracted scores of other pupils who besiege the compound to watch the victim’s nakedness.

“We had a report that a woman has stripped her house help who is only 11 years naked because she claims the child urinates in bed. And so I further investigated and was informed by the youth that the victim has been urinating in bed and run away.

“And so in order to punish the girl, she followed her to her school and stripped her naked and disgrace in the school” he said.

The issue, the assembly man indicated was reported to the elders of the community but was later pardoned on condition that she (Esi) has shown remorse.

The suspect has been ordered by the unit committee members and elders of the community to take the house help back to her parents.

According to residents of the community, the diseased left home at Adagya and was heading towards Aprabo near Dompoase around 1 am together with a friend when she fell into the river.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at Jachie government hospital.

Mother of the deceased, Mary Pokuaa speaking to Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo said the sad incident happened Sunday afternoon but they could not retrieve the body same day.

According to the bereaved mother, her daughter’s body was found yesterday evening.

The animal swims closer to the dock after grabbing a piece of food that someone threw.

It then rises from the water toward a little girl kneeling near the dock, then goes back in. The girl and others laugh.

She sits on the dock. After just one second, the sea lion jumps back, swiftly grabbing the girl by her white dress and dragging her into the water. Onlookers can be heard screaming in horror. A man immediately gets into the water to save the girl.

Neither the girl nor the man was injured. She can be seen immediately leaving after the incident at Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf near Vancouver, B.C.

The video, taken by Michael Fujiwara, was posted on YouTube on Saturday and has garnered 1.5 million page views as of Sunday afternoon.

“They were pretty shaken up,” Fujiwara told CBC News. “Her family was just in shock.”

Fujiwara said he goes to the dock regularly but has never seen anything like what he captured in the video. It’s unclear whether Fujiwara and the man who jumped into the water know the girl. Fujiwara did not respond Sunday to a request for comment.

Andrew Tites, director of the University of British Columbia’s Marine Mammal Research Unit, criticized those who got close to the animal, which he said is a California sea lion.

“My first reaction to the video is just how stupid some people can be to not treat wildlife with proper respect,” he told CBC News, adding later: “They are not circus performers. They’re not trained to be next to people.”

Tites said it’s likely that the sea lion thought the girl’s dress was food. Such animals, he added, are not naturally dangerous.

Attacks by sea lions on humans are rare, Lt. John Sandmeyer told a local television station in San Diego, where a sea lion dragged a 62-year-old man off his boat and about 20 feet underwater. Dan Carlin was posing for a picture with a yellowtail fish he had caught when the sea lion bit into his hand and pulled him overboard, the TV station reported.

An adult California sea lion is about the same size as a 6-foot man and weighs about 610 to 860 pounds. Though the “cliched circus seal” that balances a ball on its nose and jumps through hoops is typically a California sea lion, such animals once in the wild are sleek and faster than any other sea lion, according to a National Geographic article.

They live along North America’s western coast. Males migrate north during the winter season and return to the California and Mexican coastlines during the summer to breed.

Akos, was believed to be carrying a four-month old pregnancy, Rainbow Radio’s Abdul Malik Anokye has reported.

The deceased, according to sources, used a substance suspected to be weedicide.

He said mother of deceased declined to take responsibility of the girl and so she used the chemical to abort the pregnancy.

Meanwhile, the police has declared the boy who allegedly impregnated the deceased wanted.

Monica claimed she suffered negative backlash when Mr Kweku Baako mentioned one Monica in connection with the galamsey menace on the May 6 edition of Joy FM’s news analysis programme, ‘Newsfile.’

This comes after Kweku Baako’s revelation that another Chinese woman, Huang – who had acquired local names Aisha and Yaa Asantewaa – is the powerful person behind the illegal mining business in Ghana and that she has sex videos of powerful men in the security services as well as decision makers which she uses to blackmail them.

He also mentioned the name of one Monica as one of Aisha Huang’s accomplices.

“…She’s got accomplices – the other one is called Monica, the other, the name has slipped me because it’s a Chinese name. Part of their strength is that they’ve built up a certain system of blackmailing. They are women so I’m not going to use certain words, I’m not going to say certain things,” Mr Baako claimed on the show.

Interestingly however, even though Kweku Baako fell short of giving any other name apart from just Monica, Ms Wei had caused her lawyers to write a letter to him, claiming she was the only Chinese woman in Ghana by the name Monica.

Baako’s Response

But responding to the letter on ‘Newsfile’ last Saturday, Kweku Baako said he was “intrigued that she is the only Chinese Monica in Ghana. I’m surprised.”

According to him, “If I knew the full name, I might have said it.

“You recall that there was a third name I had forgotten; I didn’t mention it, so Madam Monica Wei, if it’s not you, why bother? When the evidence comes out, at the appropriate time, when the evidence of those people engaged in illegal mining – the Chinese – and the Monica are featured, we would know, so, I’m surprised that any lawyer anywhere will write such a letter to me…”

For him, “They are on a fishing expedition…if I were they, I would relax. They should relax. Tell them to exercise patience. … I don’t even know her.”

Mr Baako said the Chinese women had built a network of influence in high places in the country which they rely on for protection whilst engaging in galamsey activities.

Jennifer, a Consumer Science and Agric student, said to be suffering from depression and high fever allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of Akuafo Hall Annex A hostel Wednesday dawn and died instantly died instantly.

The police is still investigating the case to unravel the mystery behind the sudden demise of the young lady.

However, her emotional father could not control his tears when he finally saw the body of his beloved daughter.
