Prudential Bank Ltd has reaffirmed its commitment to customer growth beyond traditional banking services by organising an international business trip to Turkey and China for its commercial banking customers and prospects.
The tour, now in its second year and facilitated in partnership with Nita Travel and Shipping Company, introduced Ghanaian business leaders to new trading opportunities, supplier networks, and cross-border partnerships.
The trip was structured to provide participants with direct access to high-level trade fairs, product sourcing tours, and investor engagements. Each destination was carefully curated to align with the import and export needs of participating Ghanaian businesses.

In Turkey, the delegation attended the African Business Forum and Expo (AFEX), a two-day international trade fair that connected them with investors, manufacturers, and enterprises from Turkey and beyond. The forum provided a platform for Ghanaian participants to explore joint ventures, secure distribution and franchise agreements, and gain insights into Turkish export markets.

In China, participants attended the 139th Canton Fair and, with support from Nita Travel’s local partners, embarked on guided tours of product markets covering furniture, hardware, jewellery, clothing, electronics, and cosmetics. These visits enabled direct purchasing, real-time price negotiations, and the establishment of new supplier relationships, reducing reliance on intermediaries and improving profit margins.
Commenting on the mission, the Acting Managing Director of Prudential Bank, Ebow Quayson, said the initiative reflects the bank’s belief that banking must go beyond transactions.

“We are dedicated to ensuring our customers get the best from their trading activities. This business trip is a testament to our goal of providing advisory services and stress-free business deals for our cherished customers,” he said.
The Head of Commercial Banking at the bank, Fredrick Adomako-Ansah, noted that Prudential Bank is well equipped with the right trade capabilities to support customers who secure deals from such engagements.
“Prudential Bank has various international trade capabilities to support businesses operating in overseas markets both in Africa and the diaspora. From Letters of Credit to online platforms and PAPSS among others, we are ready to support,” he said.
He added that successful international trade is built on trust, relationships, and access to finance, which together enable businesses to move beyond transactions and build sustainable partnerships that create jobs, transfer knowledge, and drive economic growth.
The Chief Executive Officer of Nita Travel and Shipping Company, Joanna Aseidu, praised the collaboration, noting that the trip provided participants with valuable platforms to scale their businesses.
“We worked closely with Prudential Bank and other partners to ensure every participant returned with tangible business leads. From factory visits to B2B meetings with suppliers, the mission was designed for results,” she said.
Participating business leaders expressed gratitude to the bank’s management and called for the initiative to become an annual fixture. The bank was also awarded a prize at the AFEX event for its participation in the expo.
