Former outspoken Northern regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu has been enskinned as Chief of Namong in the North East region.
Information gathered by Adom News suggested that Mr Naabu was enskinned by the Overlord of Mamprugu, Nayiri Mahami Abdulai Bohagu Shariga, as Namong Daan II at Nalerigu on Saturday, June 29, 2019.

Minister of the Northern region, Mr Salifu Saeed and the Minister of the North East region, Mr Solomon Boar, led a government delegation of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives of the Northern, Savanna and North East regions to participate in the coronation.
He contested for the Northern regional chairman position of the party in 2010 but lost to Mr Haruna Tia Sulemana, but contested again in 2014 and won to become the Northern regional chairman of the NPP.
After the party’s regional election in 2018, Mr Naabu was appointed member of the National Executive Council of the party.
