Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has incurred the wrath of many Ghanaians after he is allegedly heard in a leaked audio planning to unleash attacks on key personalities in Ghana.
The elder of the Church of Pentecost in a meeting with party communicators said: “we’re going to take her [EC boss] to the cleaners.”
As part of strategic communication plans for the NDC going
into the 2020 elections, Ofosu-Ampofo also gave his blessings for the
communicators to verbally attack the Peace Council chairman Professor Emmanuel
Shocked at the conduct of the NDC National Chairman, Yaw Adomako Berfi on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme Wednesday, said he [Ampofo] has brought the name of the Pentecost church into disrepute.
He said as a respected elder of a church and a leader of the largest opposition party in Ghana, one expected the NDC Chairman to be very responsible in his comments.
“An elder of a respected church like Pentecost exalting himself as a criminal? I’m shocked” Adomako Berfi, a communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) stated.
The NPP man charged the National Security and BNI to as a
matter of urgency invite Ofosu Ampofo over the dangerous plot in the audio.
Adomako Berfi also called on the leadership of the Pentecost church to strip Ofosu Ampofo off the elder title for ‘championing evil deeds’.
