Residents of Pataboso in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region are in shock following the disappearance of an 80-year-old woman who reportedly went to her farm and has not returned.
The missing woman, identified as Hannah Abokyi, is said to have left home on Tuesday morning around 9:00 a.m. to carry out routine farming activities but has since not been seen.
According to residents, concerns were raised when she did not return later in the day as expected, prompting members of the community to organise a search.
Despite initial efforts, she remains unaccounted for, heightening anxiety in the community.
Meanwhile, the Assembly Member for the Pataboso Electoral Area, Ransford Mensah, confirmed that the matter has been reported to the Bibiani Police.
He said police, in collaboration with community members, have launched a search operation to locate the missing woman.
Residents are appealing to the public to assist with any information that could help in finding her.
