A 24-year old man, Nyeba Nakoja suspected to be mentally challenged has butchered his elder brother, Nyeba Tayome to death at Sabonjida Jamboi in the Kpandai District of the Northern.
It is unclear what sparked the suspect to kill his own brother.
According to a relative, Nakoja Tinokin, the incident occurred around 3:00am on Friday November 3, 2017.
He said they heard the deceased screaming for help and by the time the family went to his rescue, he had already died after suffering multiple machete wound.
He added that the suspect is mentally challenged so they couldn’t go near him till he killed the brother.
The Kpandai District Police commander ASP Francis Akwasi Asante who confirmed the incident to Adom News said the suspect is in their custody assisting with investigations.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Kpandai Hospital for autopsy.
